    You may download the Unreal Engine 4 Elemental Tech Demo as shown on GDC. This Unreal Engine 4 demo shows the engine's capabilities using DirectX 11 with demanding particle effects and is rather im...

    works great constant 62 frames until he breaks the ice (50fps) and when the ice golem appears (45fps)

    Looked okay. Was it just me, or did it seem a little blurry? Just wasn't as sharp of a picture I would have liked, then again these old eyes are going. With my set up it ran in the upper 40's most of the time. Lowest it went was 39 fps, and highest was 59 fps.

    By default the engine has a **** ton of motion blur enabled on it. You can disable it before you build out the game and obviously most games on UE4 will have a slider of some sort but this is just how Epic did this particular demo.

    for hardware survey, it sends dxdiag.

    Speaking of this demo, they indeed dumbed it down a lot, apparently they canceled Voxel Global Illumination altogether.

    Now we got PS4 lighting on PC, -_-

    at least particle system stayed the same like on PC..

    Has anyone figured out any bits that work in NVInspector that may allow SLI to work with this?

    It would have never worked on modern hardware. Crysis does GI with one light source and and one bounce and it's like super intensive.

    I'm sure they'll bring it back at some point or use Scheidecker's work in some other form but there is no way they are going to get real time GI without like 2-3 generations of hardware.

    Regardless, the lighting system they are using in this engine is like lightyears ahead of anything. Fan made Deus EX remake on UE4:

    What version of AB were you running? I got my stats showing up. I ran the 64-bit start script and have the beta 19 AB. That's how I knew it was only using one of my two 780s.

    Yes, I did like some of the particle effects, the textures looked really low res though - maybe that's just the art style though.

    35-45 fps on my laptop (1600x900), except dropped to low 20's fps when the ice monster came out at the end.

    All ok, but it ran fine on a GTX 680 2 years ago. Just saying :)

    This demo now runs ok on a OC'ed GTX 580, that's how much they crippled it back.

    edit: that screen looks very nice though.

    Obviously they lied about it running on a single GTX680.

    Anything with GI takes a metric **** ton of resources to process it, let alone process it in real time. I doubt they would spend years developing a lighting system only to strip it out and re-do it unless they had a very good reason. And it seems very plausible that performance was that reason.

    Take a look at this old Unreal 3 video from 2004. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1m7T5ay_8DI

    Looks better than like pretty much every single Unreal 3 engine game did. Hell I don't even think a single game implemented all the features that Unreal 3 offered.

    I have no ideea what resolution this was (ran the 64 bit executable) but it sure looked blurry, it runs great though but I'm sure it's because of low resolution and other things. My MSI AB OSD didn't work either though.

    crossfire not kicking in with a 7990, getting 0% usage on one of the cores. has anyone had any luck with forcing a crossfire profile on this?

    Hm latest MSI AB beta worked ok here @ x64

    btw, default resolution is at 1600x900

    You need to config .ini file found @ ie C:\Elemental\WindowsNoEditor\Elemental\Saved\Confi g\WindowsNoEditor

    GameUserSettings.ini

    [/Script/Engine.GameUserSettings]
    ResolutionSizeX=1920 <<< for example change to
    ResolutionSizeY=1080 <<<change to
    LastUserConfirmedResolutionSizeX=1920 << change to
    LastUserConfirmedResolutionSizeY=1080<< change to
    FullscreenMode=1

    I see, thanks. The engine has potential, can't wait to see it in games (especially RPGs) some years from now.

    The sounds not working right for me, worked for one time now it just makes a high pitched noise, strange anyway running pretty well otherwise, not using sli tho, i'm averaging around 45 - 50 fps
