Maybe, I haven't tried VSR since I got this 1440p 27" monitor but it made things a bit too blurry (and I think text had issues) last time I tried at 1080p on my 7970. Even if I could it would probably just make playing the game harder since MOBAs don't seem to play very well with resolutions higher than 1080p (or at least I find it harder at 1440p).

Tried Anti-Lag with The Council on a RX480.

-> feels a lot smoother now.

Just gonna ask people to test anti-lag on vs off and FPS. Early results seem to be indicating their is a slight performance hit to FPS with it on. I know we have some of the best people here to verify this.

In my experience, using FRTC (or RTSS) to limit the framerate (at monitor refresh), breaks Enhanced Sync. I get a single tear right accross my screen when using FRTC (or RTSS), which Enhanced Sync should prevent. Using the in-game framelimiter is usually the best solution, but not always a possibility.

On the other hand, for those games that tie the framelimiter to the VSync-setting (like Heavy Rain...), Anti-Lag actually DOES reduce the lag with VSync enabled!

Frtc should be used with freesync without enhanched sync with a 2-3fps below your refresh rate, then there is no tearing.

Enhanced sync just introduces some stuttering for me if used in combination.

    Who told you that?
I've actually enable more IQ settings and noticed a much more subtle hit.

At least on PUBG for me the performance hit is about 15 fps.

Understanding how antilag works, it makes sense.
Since you are limiting your CPU to work in sync with the GPU.

Could you open up Task Manger.
    Go to Performance Tab
    What is your Up Time?

I played on a fresh boot up when I played.
It might have been 15 mins before I started the game.
But, you can check in real time the performance drop.
    Just use the antilag hotkey.

Doea this means using anti-lag with a slower cpu is a bad idea?

I bet that it's probably a VERY bad idea.

clean install on rx 590 receives hardware not detected.

I have my sources is all I can say, some people are aware but I do get all the drivers early, we just did not test this feature this way. And yes even before Hilbert.

580 had no issues so the fix only adresses the 590. Really odd.

Well yes and another rare sku. But it was mainly for the RX 590. As was reported here and I took the feedback to where it needed to go and was able to repro in minutes.

Anyhow I take feedback from guru3d pretty serious and get it where it needs to go....other places I want to see several different people with the issue...yes I am a member of the Vanguard team. No I will not leak or tell of upcoming features or provide any driver. It is also the reason that most of my results are hidden for benchmarks for example on 3dmark.

I say what I can say when I can say it not before. Jonas has helped me learned a few things but he knows I cannot share things until they are released.
