Unwinder is the most experienced person in the world with this stuff. He has 10's of millions of downloads and his gear is the go to gear for any GPU software.

By far it is the best there ever was and the best there will ever be software out there for free.

I dread the day when he says FU to all the idiots and goes to do a regular job where he can make his money without someone saying..... fill in the blank here.He knows better than all of us put together.

I am amazed his is so calm all of the time.I would be banning most people if I was him.Just because they are wrong.

Do not like his latest software do not use it.

So when MSI is fixing lightning issue or updating it?

I cannot use it properly and i do not how to make a 3rd party voltage control.

There are no MSI reps in this forum to give you the answer. So you either have to learn how to use provided workaround or patiently wait.

I don't see MSI GTX 950 Gaming in any MSI databases in the list of supported cards, sorry.

BTW, one hint for smart guys who can read between the lines. If you carefully examine third party database fixing 980 Ti Lightning support, which we provided above in this thread, you can find out something interesting. You can learn how to override something very important at third party database level without hacking MSI Afterburner EXE. ;)

Might that be because it is referred to as something else, such as "GTX 950 GAMING 2G" in the database, or they plain do not list any of their 950 cards? Interesting how Hilbert was able to increase the voltage in his review on guru3d with Afterburner.

I was forced to migrate to Precision X. Afterburner was turning off the FAN CURVE in some circumstances. My GPU reached 105º celcius

I'm not talking about overclocking. The default clock rate is being set to 100mhz not 500mhz.

HBM clock control is locked by default. You physically cannot alter it, and furthermore set ti "wrong defaults" until you enable one of options I mentioned above.

    edit
Thanks vbetts for solving the mystery, now I feel even more stupid, lol :bang:

    Hey there,

this is my first post here at Guru3D. So, hello to everybody :)

    Now lets go btt.
I did the 980Ti Lightning workaround and it works fine so far. Unfortunately, the Vcore regulation is now in fixed mode and not in offset mode.
Is there a possibility to change entries in oem2-file to have an offset mode up to 1300mV?

    Welcome man.

Due to the nature of this voltage controller I doubt that it is possible if you want the 1.3 Volts with MSI extended mode. Select the regular MSI mode and the NV API kicks in with voltage offset regulated by driver. That one only will allow 50 mV though.

I'll leave this one to Unwinder to answer/verify though. Interesting to see this question, a lot of people actually have requested fixed mode opposed to offset which confuses them (yet is tied to Nvidia implementation).
