I'm getting a trojan warning on the download: Trojan:Win32/Spursint.F!cl

 

This great utility used to automatically restart into Safe Mode but with the latest one it no longer does. Is this an issue with Windows 10 -1803 or the app?

You can boot Windows 10 into safe mode via Recovery > Advanced Startup

Not sure if the path in PC Settings is the same as I haven't used the newest regurgitation of 10, basically you just need to restart using advanced startup and then select the mode you want to start up in.

 

I know this but DDU used to do this automatically now it doesn't just wondering if the app is at fault or Windows 10?

 

I always rebooted into safe mode manually. Don't know.

Yep, i remember it does it automatically, not sure since when it stopped doing it.

 

The DDU will not launch and gives me a message to reboot my PC. Even after rebooting it 4 times, I still get that message.

This is optional now due to some users configurations having problems with it. You can enable it back within the DDU options.

 

Why the decision?
Each time now, the internet has to be disabled in order to prevent automatic driver installation?

 

Because the previous solution was not perfect, didn't work for everyone, user would forget to set the option back to default with button on the right. Disconnecting the internet is the way to do it right.

It's not really hard to just disable the network card and reactivate it after installing the gpu driver.

Personally not a problem for me, however, some people won't even find Device Manager nowadays.

Useful tool for removing nvidia graphics drivers without having to install a new windows

 

Hi everyone I have a problem a big problem.I decided to use this program to clean video drivers.I have a Radeon 7950 (the giant one that takes up three bays in the back).I go into safe mode as it said to and I select my gpu to clean and then I hit clean and shut down.So I’m like ok no problem I’ll just turn it back on woopy doo...it won’t come on no more and all I get is power light on the mobo showing there is power to the board.I have unplugged it and everything.Nothing was wrong until I used this program tonight.

 

Does safe mode work? Also did you do a system restore or try the "Last Good" boot option? System restore is optional but heavily recommended just in case something goes wrong so I would advise never skipping that.

This does come up a few times but I can't really give a definitive answer as to what the common link between it is although my theory would be the chipset drivers, is it a AMD motherboard and processor on that system? That or a bad driver repository and it didn't clean up or remove it properly by reverting to the basic Windows/Microsoft display driver and it can't give a signal.

Maybe Wagnard has a better idea as the author of the software but worst comes to worst it's going to need a OS reinstall and yeah without access to the HDD and the log files it's hard to tell what went wrong.
(I use manual cleaning myself too for driver files and such so I have not used the software itself but I am fairly certain it would be logging any and all actions for easing troubleshooting but not being able to access those logs complicates matters.)


EDIT: Also I'm guessing it boots into the bios and either EFI or UEFI at least and isn't blacking out entirely as if the hardware itself died, that shouldn't be possible since it's cleaning out software and nothing that should affect anything up until the boot procedure for Windows itself as it initializes well I'm guessing the chipset drivers for things like the PCI-E devices on AMD boards but of course also the GPU driver and such too.
(The AMD GPU driver itself comes with and installs these PCI-E drivers in addition to the separate chipset driver installer but I don't know if removing those would cause something like that or not, seems like Windows should just revert to the basic Microsoft ones and continue with that but maybe it's not finding anything so it's not loading properly and would have a yellow triangle/bang if seen from the device manager.)

 

Yes it’s amd chip and asus board asus card.All I did was go in safe mode and selected the driver gpu and then selected clean and shut down.Now it’s nothing,no fans moving the power button does nothing and all I get is the light indicating power to the board.Ill check my psu today after work maybe it took a dump but it’s a year old and only my second psu in like 7 years lol.I do have a mobo on hand(if it works)but I hope it’s the psu instead because I have the box and receipt!

 

I’m thinking my mother board may have taken a dump on the hard shut down it did on the clean.
