15.4 causes chrome to crash pretty often when playing YouTube videos. I usually get a screen freeze/black screen, then an AMD driver crash notification in the Windows tray and a WebGL crash notification in chrome. This happens pretty much every day.

Cheese & Rice. They STILL haven't fixed the HDMI audio dropout issue. Absolutely ridiculous that I still have to apply a workaround for it after all this time.

So, can we expect downsampling from the next release for GCN 1.0?

Probably not officially. Use the Windows 10 modded drivers or the VSR registry patches or CRU. Many options to enable downsampling. Don't rely on AMD to add it for you.

At least I expect a Witcher 3 ready driver on day 1 is not much to ask for AMD.

Hey Matt did you relay my issues regarding CS:GO and 270X? I have confirmation that two separate users with no similar components except for their 270X cards cannot play CS:GO online with drivers installed because it freezes constantly. If they remove the drivers it works just fine. This sounds like a pretty serious issue to me, especially when you consider the popularity of CS:GO.

This driver is horrible. Makes games stutter like hell and has low GPU usage issues.

    @AMDMatt Any comment on this?

This is the current workaround I am using:
    http://www.overclock.net/t/1295464/...-output-on-7970-12-8-drivers/10#post_18728285

Previously I had been using this method to up the 2D clock to 500:

is AMD still writing drivers for their cards? if i was a newbie looking for them and looked at the latest official ones release date while reading all the complaints on the butt load of beta ones i would have a hard time answering this question...

when the guy that made radeonpro,JapanAMD i think, was hired a few months ago by them i thought things were going to get better, but nope... they got worse , way worse , not even their flagship software got any worth mentioning update , still works bad as hell considering it should be a viable option to the Nvidia software that got famous and broadly used pretty fast.
i personaly dont have any complains about the driver itself but i would like to see AMD having a better focus on their own stuff , it easily looks like they dont care much.

He was hired by Raptr, a close AMD partner who develop the Game Evolved Client crapware who is bundled in AMD drivers.

    http://www.amd.com/en-us/markets/game/downloads/raptr

It seems that the RadeonPro development is halted due to a mandatory contract agreement with Raptr.

I don't care if it was AMD or his "Friends", the result is AMD is in fact paying to close RadeonPro.

Nvidia couldn't do it better by itself! :D

    So true unfortunatelly :/

The saddest part is that he implemented proper Vsync/Triple Buffering, that the driver itself cannot implement apparently.

A single person from Brazil did that.

Make sure that the 290x is the master/primary card (put it closer to the cpu in your motherboard), and it will be fine.
