Thank you AMD for getting my hopes up. How can a company in good faith release an update that focuses on CFX performance and compatibility that actually kills frame rates and cause stutter in every game listed?! Hell even my fire strike score lost 300 points.

I normally am on your side AMD, but this newest release is absolute garbage.

Exac...as all my "Assetto corsa" friends feeling. With CF cards and all...

And worst part...I can't even buy myself an Nvidia card again. I was betting that I will be able live up till this fall with AMD card. I will loose (and also feel kinda stupid and a bad person...which I ain't :p) a bottle of Jack Daniels each...for 5 best buds I have. 5 bottles...and one for me...6!!! I don't wanna do that...I get tired of partying all the time...being drunk, wasted and high. I need to get straight...not this time I'm gonna lose! Till this fall...i'm gonna sit my *ss off on my r9 280x...no matter what!!!

After...well...no more AMD sh*t for this russian fella i'd say...

Thanks guys i see your issue.

Unfortunately, I'm not sure what the problem could be in that case as the usual problem we see is people using more video memory than they have available. That's clearly not the case here.

It's either an issue which Dice will have to fix, or perhaps something else is causing it on your systems.

The only other things i can think of to try are the following.

Ensure your browser is closed down completely once the map begins to load. The browser running in the background has been known to cause spikes.

Try running with everything disabled on your computer in the background, if possible. Unnecessary programs etc.

Ensure Origin overlay is disabled before running the game.

Ensure the AMD Gaming Evolved APP is disabled before running the game.

Ensure any other overlays, TeamSpeak, etc are off.

Update Punkbuster to the latest version.

Delete Mantle cache files and BF4 settings file in my docs > battlefield 4 folder. Create new ones, lose your old settings.

    That's all I've got I'm afraid.

I don´t think, you are allowed to answer, but i´m asking though, AMDMatt:

Is there any game, you think is working really smooth now, that hasn´t before with CF? Honestly?

    Name one.
    Perhaps i´ll buy that.

Which games aren't smooth? A Crossfire profile will not fix issues with games unfortunately, they can only do so much.

Battlefield Hardline is working smoothly for me, so is Plants Vs Zombies and Battlefield 4. Those are the games I'm playing at the moment.

Anything in particular you're having problems with?

I was so excited for this driver untill I tried some more games. I tried ryse, Far cry 4 will test some more games now but so far horrible. We waited 4 months for this so please AMD explain all this please. Also can't AMD/Nvidia start suing game developers for not making sure games do perform well at launch

Mantle performance optimisations are in the hands of the developer, that's what a low level API does is give full control to the developer. This obviously has advantages and disadvantages as you can imagine. Dice are still releasing updates and patches for Battlefield 4, so i would inform them of the issue so it can be addressed in a future patch.

What's the problem with Ryse and Farcry 4? I know Farcry 4 has stuttering issues, but this is not caused by a Crossfire profile, you need to tweak the game files to fix that issue according to these user posted videos featuring competitor graphics cards.

I'd also recommend disabling any GameWorks features.

I think you misunderstood that post, that was a reply to someone having an issue with Battlefield 4.

Are gameworks features available running AMD GPUs?

Yes, the problem is we can't optimise GameWorks features to run on our hardware due to the black box libraries. I'm sure you understand and can see the problem with that. I always recommend disabling these feature to our customers as they can hurt performance and or cause stuttering.

Yep I can see the problem, I even disable it with my NVIDIA GPU otherwise the game crashes lol - So it's not only unoptimised for AMD ;)

    Thanks Matt,
I know it is a very special problem with the CPU spikes...
Guess I just have to be happy with 50-80 FPS in D3D then.
    Until i get a new rig... :(

Well but I will try the other suggestions unless I havent already.

Don't take it out on AMDMatt guys, he's just a representative, not responsible for the whole of the driver team.. (also I'm sure they're working hard, at least I would hope like it).

Also.. patience is a virtue, trust me I'm tired of dual gpu configuration too but single would be better, (waiting for 390/390X).
