What monitor is it?
Four years!.That's what i call a persistent driver bug!
It's very possible that nobody reported it cause it seems trivial.
In this particular case it can lead to confusion i you don't know the bug.
Sorry, when I was posting, looks like you where posting and missed all your post.
It's DVI-D and the monitor is ACER V233H
Monitor driver bug. Not GPU.
Shows the same on a NVIDIA or Intel GPU.
It's VGA, which is analogue. Your monitor is analogue so u got DVI-I/A.
Guess that answers the question...cool.
DVI-D is DVI Digital, ain't it?
The monitor does not have DVI-A
No i haven't (290x Lighning has dual DVI, DP and Hdmi) but i wonders me when i see his screenshot of his resolution with DSR and (analog) besides the model.
Yeah but the cables come in DVI-I, DVI-A, and DVI-D flavours. DVI-I means integrated with analogue and digital pins, so u can plug into A or D displays.
Look at the plug, 2 rows of pins u got DVI-I, 1 row it's DVI-A. Same as me.
I have a single link DVI-D cable.
Here, I took pictures of the cable and th OSD.
Well then it must be DVI-I, if it was DVI-D your screen wouldn't turn on.
Sorry, I wanted to say cable does not have DVI-I not the monitor.
So at the end of the day....
....It's male or female?
OK ur display has both then, that's handy.
VGA should work anyway... no real difference but what the interface can take.
Check the pictures post, please.
I wasn't referring to you.
No point me bothering, DVI-A limit is 2560x1600, about the same as my monitor.
Wait... I'm lost.
So, you still say that my monitor is analog? Or... I don't know. I'm actually lost...
So finally if DVI-A works VGA will work with this VSR mod?
The solution is not for me obviously.
It's for people with VGA connections.
It has DVI-D and a VGA port. Not DVI-I port. Prob got blue vga somewhere.
I just recapped this page...... our convo it's like a 2 handicaps talking .. what a fustercluck.
It should work on either one, no reason it wouldn't, I mean if u can see the display then .....
VGA just has lower res limit is all.
Ooooh, I get it now, yes, it also has VGA in the back.
I agree, hahaha.
