    I see no reason...
Like, at all. It's not like I am on a EOL OS.
Also, until I get it through Windows Update, I won't update.

You don't format to upgrade windows. We aren't in 2000s people. Format is the last resort for system stabilization if you only encounter serious issues.

Anyway driver is OK for average user. Still hdr with windows is a hit or miss. I await for God's 20.9.1.

Installed the windows on nvme for the first on this build. Insane speeds. You can be ingame in less than 30min. :p

    BFV has some minor corruption:
    1. When Building sometimes the outline is not displayed correctly.
    2. When placing Trap (Med/Supp) it is sometimes invisible.

It's not game breaking but sometimes annoying.

So 20.5.1 WHQL is still the best 2020 driver IMhO.

Vanguard Team can pass this up --->

I actually formated to go back to 1909.

But, for me it's really is a bitch to format, since I use a TON of different video tools (Avisynth, Adobe Media Encoder, Red plugins, Mainconcept codecs) that need an specific configuration. I can take up to 4 days to have it all back as I need it to.

Format/Reset for the average user can take from 4 hours to even a whole day, to set up all application, settings, files etc.

    Yeah, AVERAGE.
I sadly have to deal with tons for DRM (mostly with online activation) and configurations on the apps themselves that drive me mad. And as I said, formatting can take me up to 4 days to be back up and running. Which is kinda like a no-no.
Unless I am on vacation or know that no work is coming through, I have to be mindful of what I do.

if your is a game-only pc yeah, 30/40minutes and you are almost ready to go
if this is your home pc with many programs many setups.. it may take a day
if it's the business work notebook it's a pain in the ass as you simply can't join it in the network domain from home and you have TONS of licensed work software to deal
as ITPRO said, my opinion is to don't do a format +clean install unless you encounter serious problems

ok guys, just updated to this 20.8.3 together with windows 2004. When the monitor AOC G2790PX goes to sleep, or the system go in suspend mode, then when it wakes up the display is very dark, very low brightness.
all very dark but NOT the mouse pointer (!). anyone had this with this version or previous? any advice? thank you

Check if you have an HDR slider active by chance under Windows10 / display settings....
I've disabled HDR in pure Desktop mode (only enabling it in games) = for me problem gone.

By the way, I still found some issues:

    1) The In-Game-Overlay crashes from time to time, more often than not. 2) I've seen strange behavior with the global profile and game profile settings or it is due to Alt+Tabbing too much out of Battlefield 1 and 5 which could be the culprit, either way I get frame times above 12 ms when messing with these settings too much while 8/9 ms is normal.

    3) I don't use Wattman anymore as there were times my custom profiles weren't applied correctly. Using Afterburner is way more effective albeit somewhat less stable with my undervolt/overclock settings while watching Youtube videos in Chrome or Edge Chromium.
