    • Enhanced Sync may cause a black screen to occur when enabled on some games and system configurations. Any users who may be experiencing issues with Enhanced Sync enabled should disable it as a temporary workaround.

    • With HDR enabled, Windows® desktop may experience flickering, and performing a task switch while in a game may cause colors to become washed out or over saturated.

That's a good team of software engineers right there.

No issues for less features, yes, here too. If I do not use HDR content, enhanced sync, gpu scaling with freesync premium pro, etc, etc ,etc. If I revert to barebone support, yes AMD has stable drivers.

Freesync works fine just use it with a frame limiter without enhanced sync.

But frtc removed for over a year. With what? RTSS? Chill?

I was a big frtc fan, but yeah, chill with same min/max is working good as a frame rate limiter.

Although this driver disabled adaptive voltage and frequency scaling for Vega GPU's so it's taking the voltage value from the bios again instead of being more dynamic thus it's using a lot more from what I am reading.
    https://www.reddit.com/r/Amd/comments/ibl0py/radeon_software_adrenalin_edition_2082/

The bios value should still be fine though it'll run a bit hotter and I don't know how it's going to be affected by Wattman if you can change it at all or if it's just taking the bios value directly but maybe it can still be changed for undervolting purposes.

EDIT: Yeah seems it's just the default behavior and changes still apply so no issues with Wattman overrides for voltage settings.

Interesting on how that works as Vega has a bit of a variance to the GPU voltage and GPU clock speeds so some might do 1100 others might need 1150 or 1170 with little room for further voltage reductions before also lowering the GPU clock speeds down to maintain stability but at a performance loss.

Well Vega has and has, AMD has is more like it as it's something they just seem to do and push the card a bit more for performance thus why even Navi has this thing with a minimal performance drop for a sometimes hefty reduction in applied GPU core voltage and resulting temperature changes both surface and junction.

Hmm maybe that's why it got changed as it might not have been entirely stable depending on what this was doing and if it just scaled anyway with some cards being unable to handle any larger voltage reductions before hitting instability but in that case why even use this at all in the first place.
(Navi can be a bit smart - sorta. - in how it scales because it doesn't use these fixed states and other changes and how it attempts to boost but tune the values too hard and it'll still become unstable.)

So up to 19.5.1 and it's default behavior and then apply this voltage tweak for over a year then and 20.8.1 comes out and nope and back to defaults?

    Huh.

Noticed some stuttering with chill compared to rtss which is smooth. But yeah i miss frtc too. Will never understand why amd remove it.

Has anyone encountered the problem that the PC did not turn off with the PCIBUS 20.10 bus driver? The PC with the sound blaster AE-7 sound card does not turn off
With version 19.20, the norms are turns off

I had issues with the shader cache last release, the game just crashes at the main menu because it didn't update the shaders. It was ok after a reboot though

AMD: "optional" which usually means beta/non-whql
    DxDiag: WHQL
    CPU-Z: beta

Now tell me what status this driver is :)

    Nor am I!

Then again I'm on 19.5.2, because there's been precious few reasons to upgrade for a Vega user. :p

yes mr lame troll, cos that game - after over a decade! - is still HIGHLY moddable on PC whilst its rival is worse than a pandemic lockdown. (perhaps I should haven't said that )
And thanks to mod and tweaks, soccer physics becomes almost perfect.
