I had same issue, be sure to uninstall from programs and features first

No issues on this side. Work PC is still an older X370 / 3600X. Installed flawlessly.

Do we really need to install it? From what i see its only for the 4000g support.

Updated GPIO (non-promontory) drivers compared to the previous version.

There's a few updated components though I don't know what gets installed on what, had two along with the power plan update here for the six or so total bits that got updates which I think was the GPIO2 thing and PSP which is that security hardware bit in the processor I think.
(Gigabyte X570 board, Master because lol overkill but less than the elite model.)

Two of them resolve BSOD issues but one of those is on specific laptop models though I'd say that's important and updating was flawless here despite using a pre-release version some motherboard vendor put up although to get rid of some old bits and installer leftovers a uninstall and then a install of the new version sounds like the best practice although I suppose that goes for drivers overall even if it's more of a thing for the display / graphics card ones ha ha. :)

EDIT: Full thing is on AMD's release notes for what these do first the general mainly installer related changes plus the 4000 iGPU type CPU's getting supported and then a overview of the updated driver components and a note on what was changed and why usually some fix or feature support though nothing super verbose either but a nice quick overview at least. :D

Delete the AMD folder from your OS drives root.

Had problems installing on x370 and x470 mobo.

But installing to the default location c:\AMD and unchecking AMD PCI Device driver allowed the rest of driver to install.

Seems version 10.0.0.80 of the AMD PCI Device driver was already installed on both systems, which may be the issue
