The last 3D mark that came out I noticed there was services running. That p***ed me off so I un-installed it. Do they really need to have services running on PC running 24/7 taking up memory? What are they running anyway? EDIT: Ran it. Not very impressive looking. Uninstalled itand Futuremark SystemInfo service still running. WTF...
this benchmark is crashing blackscreen near the pyramid wtf is this, i can alt + tab out or open up :bang: has something to do with my hdd... edit: An important note from NVIDIA about driver compatibility "While testing the 3DMark Sky Diver benchmark, NVIDIA discovered an issue where some of their GPU configurations would render a black screen during benchmarking. NVIDIA has since solved the issue for these configurations and will be including the fix with their next driver installment coming early next week. In the meantime, if you experience this issue with your configuration, please use the 335.23 WHQL driver, available from both NVIDIA.com and GeForce.com." Long time passing. These benchmarks became obsolete long time ago. I am no more interested in testings with 3d mark/pc mark, Sandra etc.. Too many good, hardware demanding games and video applications out there, and if the system is stable while the games/apps run smoothly, I just do not care about the info gathered from "synthetics"...
He he he, now we can say 3Dmark got boobies.. ( lol, they really have exagerate it a bit.. was make me thing to a certain tomb raider games )
I know the demo got 200+fps at times but cant do the benchmark with current nvidia drivers. futuremark says to use 335 drivers until nvidia releases the next drivers that will have the fix. but im not using older drivers when everything else works with no problems.
Thats great! ran fine for me off course exept the black screen in the first test, so ill wait till its fixed.
yes we are. note from hilbert personally im not gonna install a older driver for just this test. ill wait until a new driver is released (since its obviously a nvidia driver problem).
Still amazes me that companies release software without testing the most basic things first, such as "Does it work with the latest driver?"
Indeed, i wonder the same thing at times, its like they're getting ideas on the run and just implementing them without testing or anything or starting a project without having a meeting to plan it.
if u guys wanna post your scores... ---> http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=390088 there is teh Thread for it greetz BEtA
Drivers aren't the responsibility of Futuremark. They're the responsibility of NVidia and AMD. If you go by the logic that it's the responsibility of Futuremark to ensure that NVidia's and AMD's drivers work properly with their software, then it's also the responsibility of Microsoft to ensure that the "latest" drivers from all hardware "makers" work properly with Windows and the responsibility of game devs to ensure that the "latest" drivers work properly with any game they release. At that point, you can forget ever seeing new software or games released....
