Yeah, Carmack talked up a lot of his plans and what he hoped to accomplish with idTech6. But, it's difficult to know how much of what he planned for actually made it into the current version of idTech6. As long as the engine maintains the feel and weight of player movement and weapon feedback that past idTech engines have had, I'll be happy.
I see you are a medical professional, and I will accept your diagnosis. As for the current D4, I just can't get excited to be honest. RAGE left such a sour taste, that I can't savor what former id software is dishing out. I really want to be excited, but the heart can be broken just so many times. Let's hope with new blood in the graphics engine (not a fan of idTech5), we can all be pleasantly surprised.
