Go ahead but reserve 2 ... 3 hours for first complete playthrough. Not kidding. The level is batshit insane and looooong
bro you weren't kdding... I'm currently bashing my head against that fight in the courtyard with the giant tentacle, every time I think I'm done and there will be finally be a checkpoint NOPE another wave of crap lol. And I'm sure I'm not even to the hard parts yet Spoiler I liked the bit where they put the rage totem in the fog, cheeky bastards *Edit FINALLY just got to a checkpoint, good lord
Those rage totems are insane. All you see is red glowing monsters warping around at 300mph. If something hasn't aimbotted you by then. Let alone a possessed Marauder. I once managed to outrun a possessed Marauder timing the dodge cooldown, then screwed up getting caught on walls. That was funny when watching anything possessed trying to catch you.
Just chiming in to agree, that area is insane and went on forever. I love all the Doom games but that tested my 40 year old blood lol. No way I'll handle harder difficulty levels, I'd end up in hospital.
Marauder's AI is really prone to breaking and when he's buffed or possessed it becomes far worse. Mobile turret is really effective against possessed marauder btw. He keeps trying to attack you and keeps getting faltered. You can basically stunlock with mobile turret. It's not 100 % reliable but even then the best option.
Honestly imo World Spear goes a little too far. Encounters are hard and drawn out. I get that it's meant to make you rely on the hammer and test your endurance but sheesh.
There has been moments I've felt my chest pounding hard on Nightmare in some sections. More so from the Ancient Gods part 1 DLC. Even to the point I could feel my arms tingling. There are some areas that are stupidly sweaty that I've to take many days away from it. This probably wouldn't have been an issue to me 20 years ago back in the CRT days.
Can anyone upload Doom Eternal 100% complete game save games? All saves I found on Google turned out to be corrupted.
I don't have a 100 % save with collectibles - used to but due to only 3 slots deleted it ages ago - but I do have saves with completed playthroughs of campaign and both DLCs. I can upload it them if you want, later.
It's not possessed like the Holt Gate. Still nice speed on it. Plus the fact it's easier when it's all alone.
This strat helps a lot with 2 marauders as you can erase one (or both) quickly. Ofc also when mara is mixed with other enemies. The video was just from training. This won't work on possessed, as they recover faster and cannot be faltered with grenade. Mobile Turret is the best tool against possessed maras. It has a chance to completely stunlock them.
Btw I just now realized possessed or screecher buffed marauders cannot be stunned with a precision bolt shot. Makes sense as they have damage resistance and pb is the lowest damage attack that stuns normally. Also I bought the rip'n'tear pack to get the cultist base master level. While not as hard as SGN and up, definitely a fun level! Better than ARC Complex master level.
I would say this game is probably the best AAA fps performance wise in decades maybe, the optimization is downright excellent and i have to thank the devs for this, i don t think there s another aaa fps out there that has this kind of optimization, this game can literally run on a gtx 950 or 960 2gb without issues, it s that good....
Okay this is absolutely phenomenal work and all Doom fans should give it a look: https://www.reddit.com/r/Doom/comments/tfjpf7/at_dooms_gate_the_ultimate_guide_a_massive_200/ It's a complete lore guide on the entire franchise. Written by an upstanding fella from the Doom discord.
So since the Bethesda client is being closed down with games being transferred to Steam, I'm giving Doom Eternal another go, downloading it tonight. It'll be nice to be able to play it on my 6700XT and max out the settings (I previously played it on my Fury). One thing I'd like to check though and some may find this controversial, any mods about for increasing ammo reserves? I know it's an intended mechanic and you're supposed to juggle weapons and use chainsaw/fodder to restock but I want my next playthrough to be less mechanical and a little more... how can I say, classical without outright using cheats or having to play on easy difficulty removing challenge of avoiding damage. (please don't tell me to "git gud", I did play through it legit before, the playstyle just wasn't my thing). And for fun, what interesting mods have you guys seen? I wonder if anyone have done invasion maps like for doom2?
Yeah there should be mods for increasing ammo totals. There's a bunch of cool mods for the game. Check Nexusmods for doom eternal. There's also a modding discord server. My favorite mod is Slayerpalast which turns World Spear into a training world with different scenarios / encounters. It's insanely well made.
