    This really doesn't belong here but neither do I want to start a thread nor dig up ancient (haha!) threads so:

    Guess what I did after completing TAG pt. 1?
    Reinstalled Half Life 2 with MMmod.
    MMod has just been updated to 1.3 too and it improves gunplay greatly.

    Maybe this time I'll be able to finally wipe HL2 off my backlog.
    Yes you read that right, after 16 years still haven't completed it once.

    Obviously first things first, I enabled weapon quick switching :)

    I'm a little jealous, getting to beat HL2 for the first time is an experience. It may be time for another playthrough, I haven't tried MMod

    MMod is fun. The latest version improves the shotgun, which has been a bit awkward in 1.0 - 1.2. The way the mod refreshes the shooting and enemy AI makes the game a great fresh experience. I've played through the main game and the episodes, and I've had a lot of fun doing it. The new particle effects are nice too, since the make barrel explosions a bit more bombastic.

    Yeah and best of all you can replace hitscan bullets with projectile bullets. Needless to say how much of an improvement that is.

    So far so good, haven't made it this far on any of my earlier replay attempts (Sandtraps).
    My first playthrough attempt is still the longest though, made it up to chapter 11 or 12 IIRC before losing my save game and all subsequent interest on the game for a decade, lols.

    Nice refresher while keeping true to original game.

    Not using the community update / patch though as I read that it's based on an outdated Source version these days.
    I played HL 2 vanilla briefly and it sure looked hell of a lot better than back in 2004 so Valve has apparently updated it to the most recent iteration of Source and possibly other tweaks.

    Furthermore AFAIK MMod in itself contains quite a few bug fixes.

    On topic now, I was watching UnderTheMayo's Doom Eternal videos just now and it dawned on me Doom Eternal is quite literally the anti-Call of Duty.

    In COD when you take enough damage you are told get to cover ie. stand still.

    In Eternal taking even a single hit is your cue: boy, move!

    Recommend Mayo's channel btw, does lots of Doom Eternal content and other good stuff imo.

    Free New Master Level – Super Gore Nest

    • Also fixed an issue in which entering water immediately after a checkpoint save could generate a bad state if the player exited the game before reaching another checkpoint

    • Fixed an issue where the Demon player’s spawned-in Carcass’ Seismic Furrows attack did not deal damage to the Slayer

    How about add an option to remove all of them?
    I don't care what MC Gangsta Masturbator skins I can now unlock.

    Yeah looks very good, DLC 2 will again have fresh environments by the looks of it.

    I'm fully expecting release on the 20th as it's Eternal's anniversary.

    20th seems a bit soon since they haven't even properly released a trailer.
    First DLC trailer was in August, and then the DLC came out in October.
