Nevermind, got 2 crashes today in~3 hours while doing my collectibles playtrough...
More SINGLE-PLAYER CAMPAIGN PLEASE id!!! MORE!!!
Heck, why don't you just scrap the current BS DLC, refund everyone and give us another SINGLE-PLAYER CAMPAIGN!!! Paid DLC if you must!!! If you must go the multiplayer route, then, I'd love to see a Camping Grounds remake etc. Heck, you might aswell add the Rail-gun in while you're at it and make it playable similar to Q3.
Tis why I don't bother with Season Passes.
The majority of them are simple bull. The Evil Within is the only game I can think of that had a Season Pass worth getting.
And even then, the third DLC was pretty much throw away. But it was okay, because the previous two were so damn great.
It is sad that all of Doom's DLC is MP focused dribble.
Maybe we'll get a stand alone campaign, like what happened for Wolfenstein. Or, id could go directly into DOOM II. Which... I would prefer very much.
I now officially give up.
35 crash reports and the last 3 in the middle of multiplayer games (that take as long to find and join as I get to play).
Time to find a new game until someone susses the problem.
Well season pass was worth it for witcher 3 i might argue .
But yea most are garbage and not worth the 20 to 50 dollars.
Well... I can only judge based on games I have.
I don't have the Witcher 3. So... no personal insight on that one.
Depends, I read what they offer first. For once, with this game, I specifically don't care about MP so I didn't get it. If a SP expansion ever appears, I'll get that though.
I've never bought one.
I got the Evil Within Season Pass gifted to me, and it turned out to be great.
But, every other game... the season pass is almost always filled with MP maps, or Leadboard challenge crap.
If they announce some more single player content, I will jump on it instantly. But... until then, I could care less about their MP DLC.
Just a heads up that a demo for Doom 4 is now available from the Steam store page!! Can't wait to try it out.!!!
Link to other Doom 4 related stuff, says the demo will be available tomorrow, but I just checked the store page and there is the doawnload demo button.
Well they are offering quite a lot for free, so yeah, cool! I’m also for more SP content and hope that we will see some in the future.
DOOM was THE unexpected great game of this first half of 2016.
Hooray, I wish more modern games did this so I can test it out
Finished it yesterday...quite suddenly too. Last boss was...umm, OK?
Find their DOOM support annoying.
They go on about how successful DOOM has been, how well received it's been. How much people are praising it, talking it up... enjoying it.
Then, do a presentation talking about how they are supporting this game to continue to fun. By offering more MP. Maps. Modes.
Supporting a game that people loved by adding additional content to the one aspect of the game that's been the least well received. And ignoring the campaign, the part of the game that is reason for people loving the game.
Between this move and the new Quake game, I get the feeling that Bethesda really want a strong presence in the competitive MP scene. And are pushing really hard to try and make one.
But... it's a wasted effort.
Partially because new MP components or games don't tend to have very good life spans. People always go back to their staples. Specially with a new BF game coming soon.
And, DOOM... is great... because of the campaign.
If you want to make fans and consumers happy, announce new campaign content. A stand alone expansion.
Add a new episode and call the game "Ultimate DOOM".
I suppose SnapMap would decrease the need for additional map packs?
If I were Bethesda I'd focus on Wolfenstein & Doom to be brilliant single player only games, because they've shown that they can make great campaigns. Then have Quake as a multiplayer only game, where all the focus goes into that, JUST that.
It's pretty damn hard to have both single and multiplayer experience on equal quality level in the same game. One always gets neglected.
Doesn't help that with DOOM, id made the campaign and had a very specific style in mind.
Then, outsourced the MP to Certain Affinity... who basically took their history of CoD and HALO and meshed it with DOOM.
The MP just doesn't fit.
Yes and no.
We have snap map, but there are some limitations. We can make new maps, but only with the assets given to us. A DLC sp expansion would have new assets, and could continue or start a new story. Truth be told, I didn't think I would enjoy the story of Doom as much as I did. It is pretty much run, gun, kill things, but it is setup perfectly in my eyes.
Don't care much for the multiplayer, but it's nice to see ID is adding new stuff to the game after such short time since the release. I'm guessing for a single player dlc around chritmas or something.
