Doom is on sale for half price on Steam...so I bought it. I've played the UAC and Resources chapters on "Hurt Me Plenty" difficulty and it's really a lot of fun. I think the game is a very intelligent upgrade to the original Doom. I enjoyed Doom 3 but not as much as the first two iterations. Doom 3 looked beautiful but I really missed the big rooms with loads of monsters and the puzzles and key cards to find. I'm also playing with everything maxed out on video and do not notice any problems even though my card is below the recommended level. But I'm not complaining.
Well, here's a bunch of deals if you're interested. https://isthereanydeal.com/#/page:game/info?plain=doom
Till now i played many games in my Pc. But this game is very intresting game i will spend daily 2 to 3 hours.
Didn't know they added a Arcade Mode, it's worth reainstalling for a lil extra fun. I tried some of the community single players not loving those, might continue making my own it's allot of fun and not to hard. Made this video of my what I think is great Beserk chain combo. Just wait for summer sale, only a few months.
Yeah its been here since last 1-2 updates, looks cool, I tried a few missions that are still locked in SP
Well I finished the campaign in "Hurt Me Plenty" difficulty. I like the game play and environments. It feels like a truly updated classic when playing. I hope they put together another story/sequel and make it much longer.
Is it worth it to buy the season pass? I have no issues finding games online without any DLC at least.
I'm in the argent Tower and I must be blind but I can't locate the room with the argent cell and you activate the drones lol.
I finished it on this setting too, and completely agree. They did a great job with this one, and fixed all that was wrong (or bad) from Doom 3 imo.
A 35gig update... Yes, in the end it does make the game's install size smaller because of how it repackages various game files. But, you still have to download another 35 gigs to even get to that point. I still wish they would make the various DOOM modes separate entries in your Steam library, like how CoD does it. So you could decide what you want installed, downloaded... what have you. I don't care about the full install size after the update is applied, I'm annoyed by the fact that I have to download 35 gigs for a game... that does nothing for the campaign. The only part of the game I play.
I just completed DOOM. Initially I was turned off of it because of the near non existant storyline delivery shooting gallery. Was hoping for more of a DOOM 3 experience with DOOM 2016 visuals. But after upgrading to an EVGA 1080ti FTW 3 and running the game on Ultra Nightmare visuals settings using the Vulkan API with max DSR settings, the eyebleeding beauty of DOOM 2016 forced me to push on. ;p Now if only iD could be convinced to do the next AVP! An AVP using the DOOM 2016 Engine would be awesome! I`d love to see iD take a proper swing at the AVP license.....;p True Next Gen AVP FTW!
There is actually a very solid, well told story in the new DOOM. The brilliance of the game is how the story is presented. The Doom Slayer (Doom guy) doesn't care about the story. Several times in the game it tries to present the story to you, but the Doom Slayer ignores it and pushes forward for his only purpose. To destroy hell's minions. Also, the difference between Ultra and Ultra Nightmare is incredibly small. Almost pointless to even talk about.
