110Hz monitor owner here, 1440p as well. I've gotten used to toning down the settings, or just dropping my refresh rate. I usually play at 96hz because that's the frequency at which my display was calibrated ;)

Probably in place for those who use higher resolutions. For example, at 4k I can only enable ultra, when I set it to Nightmare it automatically cancels the change (the game gives a warning to saying that the setting requires 5GB+).

Looks like he's using a reference clocked 980 ti, and he was probably using older drivers as well..

This game flies on the 980 Ti all things considering, especially aftermarket variants. It's ahead by a long shot over any other single GPU..

That's what I got too... And as we are in the very minority, I guess it's here to stay. No Doom for me :bang: :(

(I tried 2 drivers, AF on 8 and 16, AF forced by CCC, change res etc...) Beta was fine.

on r/amd the brilliant minds have already concluded that problems with AMD hardware cannot be a coincidence, NVIDIA paid id software to gimp DOOM after the pascal reveal :stewpid::stewpid::stewpid::stewpid::stewpid::stewpid::stewpid::stewpid::stewpid::stewpid::stewpid::stewpid::stewpid:

Its still the same ID tech at core, so probably it doesn't matter if you max out, it will look almost the same in the overall scenario.

Still have to switch a few more things, but I needed a break before I feel to wipe the game from my HD.

Yep, games often have to mature a bit longer when using AMD. Well, I'll wait for the 27st to get back at it again with two @2.1 gHz 1080's.

FINALLY got to playing this and oh boy!

Damn this game is good. Not to mention runs extremely well on day one.

Ok, sounds like triple buffering may not be working properly with Vsync with the newest driver. Or such.

Just played for 2 hours straight with .10 drivers, super smooth maxed out (except motion blur off) @ 1440p.

SLI actually works this time around. Set the profile to AFR2, and you're good to go.

I don't notice anything so it doesn't really matter to me as the game still looks quite good at ultra. Plus I'm able to maintain near 60 FPS at 4k.
