Looks like he's in a wheelchair.
ye I guess they copied it from Movie
Watch the movie, it doesn't look scary in motion. Looks... rather stupid.
Actually made me laugh.
in doom universe, the HUMAn being r not return to big monsters hu? yes they become zombies alike. but not the monsters above images.
ID is irrelevant in 2014 as far as I'm concerned. It's a company that struck gold in the early to mid 90's and have simply been updating the graphics to the same old tired gameplay and formula since. I wouldn't mind someone else finishing d4 and doing their own take.
I love all the revisionist history of gamers lol. Doom 3 had to be one of the most bi&^hed about games in the history of gaming. "It's all corridors, same thing over and over, dark room monster jumps out, all the walls have low res textures, the game sucks" and now 11 years later everyone is claiming it was an epic lol. I vividly remember so many complaints about it and now when it's mentioned it's nothing but praised.
Imo Doom3 modded it still looks great
a bit older screens,
Your first sentence makes no sense as thats what cod has been doing since the start and as the hd release for the modern warfare series on the xbone and ps4 due out at some point, (which will probably sell just as much as a brand new cod itiration), will show that re-releasing the same game over and over (which the core id team have never done) isnt the issue.
Yeah Doom 3 is still one of the best looking games around with mods, though the character models (humans) look like they need a make over.
wil this game actualy going tho see the day light omg i cant wait i stil play doom 3 and quake 4 for me its one of the best game ever done by id
Doom seems to get all the retro love but I would maim (sorry I cannot say kill!) to play a remake of the first Quake, which I still think was the best game in the series with its gothic/evil atmosphere that continued from where Doom left off and it had some great enemies and amazing level design. I remember being in awe of the game when I first played it on my N64 then later on the PC when I bought my first one back in 1998.
Unfortunately, the series then went all Sci-Fi with Quake II and IV and although they were good they didn't feel like the original Quake at all IMO.
I hope there really is a beta. I really enjoyed all of them so far. I will not be sad if ID doesn't make the doom. I mean, look at MachineGames and wolfenstein...
Kinds how i feel about the new killzone, too much sci fi (i know its set in the future and space like the entire series) but it seems to have lost that real world grit for waaay more sci fi.
Does the original Quake still run on Windows 8.1? Anyone know? I'm feeling really nostalgic and want to revist it again.
Yup .. I played it two weeks ago with the Dark places Engine mod.
Quake II was pretty good too. Great sound effects and loved the double barreled shotgun and super nailgun, awesome!
Sorry as this is bit off topic, but what's the best Doom 3 mod graphicswise?
I remember seeing something called SikkMod or similar, looked pretty promising.
Perhaps I'll be able to play D3 if it looks absolutely stunning
you have tons of options for that
Correct AsiJu. SikkMod along with the high definition texture pack is the best you will get graphics wise.
I've used it and it really makes a great difference in the game.
^ thanks mate, gotta check it out!
yeah those screens are from sikkmod
Is there a "simple" guide in this forum or elsewhere for setting up SikkMod? It seems like a lot of work based on the thread...
I don't need every single thing fine tuned instantly, but the basics so to speak. I can tweak further later on.
