sorry for posting again, but i COULDNT fit the screen shots in the other post, or i would editate it :p

    MSI GeForce FX 5200 AGP 8x, 128mb, 128bits..
clocks at 297/540, using UPDATED NGO nVidia Optimized Driver (15 points more then Xtreme G 76.44)

i tried half-life 2 in 1024, aa, af, ultra high.. trash... 1 fps or less.. not sure...
then one thing that make me dizzy... Doom 3 em Far Cry...
    1024x768 (max of my monitor)
AA at max (16 on doom, cant remember far cry, but my FX suports only aa at 4x.. so i think he got down to 4)
AF automatic when using Ultra High Quality configs in the games...
im NOTTTTTTTT using the "Doom 3 in 128mb VGA Config", all the details of the card ar correct,
    this is an athlon 2.6 at 2.1, 512 ddr3200... hd 5400rpm :(

BOTH games were around !! 20 !! fps! unbeleaveble! BUT, (there is always a "but") with a small delay.. 0.1 seconds after i moved the mouse, the game answered (moving the screen)...
near monster the game lagged of course, down to 10 fps or less... but alone, i could move mouse, char (jump and all), and the FPS where still in 20!!
and in some parts i could go more than 50 fps!!

im thinking about getting 4 coolers aiming at GeForce and overclock to 400/800 HRhRhRHRHHEhe, and then play like people with 6800gt ultra (sli) EHHEhe...
    weard or not? :D

(i didnt got the camera yet... maybe soon ^^ )

    EDIT: screens!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why is this such an achievement? Its well built game that was designed to scale down on different systems especially for nvidia cards. It looks very nice of my mates Ti4200. The other thing to bear in mind a 5200 cannot handle a lot of what the game is pushing out and does not render it so thats where you make up the performance.

And finally in my opinion it would still be a complete lag vest, since anything below 30fps in my opinion feels too slow and i know others agree with me there :)

Good job none the less, shows you dont need to spend £100's to get good performance/IQ.

Even though the game scales down to the card... Ultra settings are sooo much for an FX 5200 IMO!!

    TIP:
tah config "Doom 3 on Ultra with 128mb VGAs"
gives you around 10 fps on a 512ram pc and
    15-20 fps on a 1g ram pc....

THE SCREENSHOTS ARE WITHOUT THIS CONFIGS!
i got the screens and AFTER that i used the doom3 config stuff ^^

doom isn't enhanced for nvidia cards, they are just run open gl games faster

I used to get about the same framerates on a 5200 but I played on medium @1024X768 but with doom you can't tell ultra from medium in screenshots without AA and being in a bright area

I get 25 FPS on Ultra High 1024x768 everything enabled. My system ---------->

The FPS don't change in Doom 3. On Low i get the same FPS. The only thing that changes between the two is the Image Quality and the loading times (very long).
