    I have a 6800GT, with a p4 3,4 HT, 2GB corsair value...
    I'm only getting 58-60 FPS on timedemo with High Settings, AA off, is this right? A guy did 92 with a 6800 Ultra, it is'nt supossed to be all this diference..what is wrong?

    vsync was already off...
    I will do what you told me, but i don't think it can improve the perfomance all that much...

    6800GT, Pentium 3,4 HT, 2GB, i think i should do better than 58 FPS on 1024x768...it should do this on 1600x1200, something is wrong.

    GPU:
    MSI Geforce 7900GT 256MB E-HD
    First time -> 37.9fps
    Second time -> 57fps
    Third time -> 58fps

    I ran it 2 times because the first time sometimes the demo stops a second maybe to load new textures, effects, etc, I think is my limit amount of ram (512mb)... The second test was totally smooth because all was in memory already.

    800x600, High Details,
    VSync Off, AA Off

    61 FPS on 1024-768
    8x AA
    4xAF
    Ultra Settings

    Is this normal? 6800GT, P4 3,4, 2GB corsair...
    First time i run the test, it did 50 FPS, second time it did 61...
    Why is that? 2GB it wasen't suposed to do this...or was it?

    That's good with the AA and AF enabled. Try it without using it.

    The 1st time it runs it has to load all the textures into memory. There will be quite a number of slowdowns/pause the 1st time u run, during which, its framerate = 0fps. Thats why i run my Doom3 timedemo 3 times. The 2nd and 3rd times are more consistent

    Before:
    28.8fps @1024x768 medium quality, AA off, shadows off, Vsync On

    After a clean install of Win Xp, ditching Omega 56.72 drivers for Official Nvidia 61.77(it has support for DX9.0c), disabling alot of services, applying registry tweaks:
    70.something fps@1024x768 medium quality, AA off, shadows off.
    or 58.8fps@1024x768 High Quality, 16XAA, shadows off.
    There wasnt any difference in framerate between High Quality AA off and 16X AA. Vsync off. zzz. As it turned out, Enabling Vsync has a pretty significant impact on framerate.

    I did 83 FPs 1024x768 Medium quality AA off, AF off, shadows off...
    Is that good?
    I'm playing in Ultra Settings, 1024x768, 8x AF and 4x AA (when i put more AA than 8, it gets REALLY low, any reason?).

    One more thing Folklore, abou this:
    Is this normal even if i have 2GB? Thanks again!
