Hi guys, my question is short and simple. I have a GTX 1050 Ti and wanted to know if it has the same performance as a GTX 680.

    Thanks in advance.

I would say it would have plus or minus the same performance. In reality, i believe the 680 should have more performance, but due to the fact that it's old, less supported by drivers, etc. I wouldn't be surprised if the GTX 1050 ti is a (current) better performing card overall.

As much as i hate youtube reviewers:

Thanks for the reply. Also seeing the Guru3D Review of the GTX 1050 Ti, it seems that the GTX 1050 Ti is superior in performance to a GTX 680. I also have another question if it is not much problem. A friend has a GTX 960 2gb and in old games like Battlefield 3 or Metro 2033, it has a worse performance than my GTX 1050 Ti, let's say that on my GTX 1050 Ti I have about 84 fps in Battlefield 3 and the one with its GTX 960 has about 75 fps. the new or current games, and the difference is smaller, my 1050 Ti takes 5 fps difference in new games, but my question is, why in the old games the 1050 Ti has so much advantage?

Yeah, it was one of the few generations where the x60 actually felt very weak. I'm not surprised the 970 sold so well.

It's much faster then the 680 my friend. Much much faster.... The 680 is 4 generations behind. It would be nice if you had a 1060 but the 1050 is faster then even a 780, GL

mines clocked at 1366 i seen it boost to 1.8ghz but i cant recommend this card for gaming really its only if you want low power set up. you will only be satisfied with performance and should of just bought 1060 rx580 for few more $$ or some higher end gpu

actually the price gap between 1050ti and a 1060 is double/ ...triple for rx 580.

    thats a 3gb 1060 and a 4gb 570....cheaper than last time I checked though...

Hey....since all 1050ti's are 4gb is it still better to get the 1060 3gb for $55 more?

    Sorry if I went OT?

Edit: started a new thread on that^ just now....

Yes, but also the fact that you need a lot of power source for two gtx 680. Anyway, I just wanted to know if my 1050 Ti had the same performance as a gtx 680 and now I know that and even a little better depending on the game.Greetings

I have (in two other PCs) a Gygabite 1050ti and a Zotac 1050ti

I used to have some 680s

I find that the 1050ti has better visual and speed than the 680

    HOWEVER
    a few things to consider:
The drivers are tuned to the newer cards and
both of those PCs are on DP 1.2, I was on DVI back then
and some titles may invoke features the 680 may not have

true, a lot less power requirement on the Ti and a lot of convenience with no power connector to worry about
