    Hello guys

so I have a Topping D30 on which I plug my headphones, but they are displayed as speakers by windows.
Does it make an impact? I tried to get them detected as headphones but there doesn't seem to be a way around it.

    Thanks

2.0 speakers is just fine. You can use the Windows Sonic plugins if you want Virtual Surround, or something like Waves NX.

No, they are basically speakers, in your case controlled by your external amp.
    It is just an icon.

If there is a driver that provides earphone specific features, thats a different matter, you need to install it to get them.

ps if plugging the headphones directly to the sound card, it being detected as speakers might matter if it has detected the wrong impedance.
ie the soundcard driver can change the gain based on impedance detected.
But when using an external amp, it looks and behaves to the sound card exactly the same as a loudspeaker amplifier.

Theres no need for this (its for speakers that use a sub for bass) and it could impact the bass.
My headphones are good down to 4Hz.

i meant to say IS checked.

it improves the punchiness a bit when using headphones, less tinny.
