i am using 3.7 cats. when i turn on AA to any level (2x 4x or 6x) my fps is cut almost in half in 1280x1024. af works ok though. is it just me

if they are cut in half then i would say there is an issue with the game but look at the game already why the hell would you NEED to run AA,, the game is already all smooth.
there is enough graphics on screen that running AA , i would expect it to choke out.
looks to me like its possible they have A and.or AF already coded to be on, but who knows.

over all as i said there is absolutely no reason to be using it, the game is already smooth

work fine for me i run underground with 6xaa and 16xaf runs very smooth. with the except if i get to much smoke from the tires then fps drop noticeably. this is playing on my 9800 pro

Personally i dont use AA on NFSU, it doesn't do the cars, no matter what AA setting you put on itll make no differnce to the cars, they are still jaggy as hell.:D

    Hi

Its adviceable not to run the game with the blur on and AA ( and i think the tail light affects as well) as this really affects the frame rates , you can use one or the other but not both .
Its the same with TOCA race driver as well .

    I bought it :D

Dam fine game.. I run it at 2x AA and 16x AF Quality .. Motion Blur and light trails OFF.. ( confused me too when on..lol ) other settings in game maxed..and I leave particle systems off ..I was getting a slight pause when smoke from tires and water on ground were on screen..and that solved it. AA definitaly does something.. I see alot less jaggies when on.

I got this game today and I must say on my system it looks amazing!!!!!

This game does use DirectX9 correct as the water on the ground and a few other things looks as if they are very nice looking!

Playing everything maxed out but with the trail blur or whatever and the motion blur it was all jacked lol
