If you do specify which
I'm currently using O&O Defrag V12
yes, i used to use O&O but i grew impatient with it never actually doing the defragging.
I use perfectdisk 10 now and its fantastic. runs all the time pretty much , does not even slow the system down, just works in the back ground. I do not even have any defragged drives at all now, thats with 6 x 1TB and 1 x 1.5TB drives too.
Diskeeper 2010 Pro Prem very light on the system and both hard disks are always in perfect condition, futhermore it prevents fragments now too
I use MyDefrag.
smart defrag is pretty good for a free app
I use MyDefrag too, and I'm happy with it.
PerfectDisk 10 here!
Diskeeper 2010 Pro Premier.
PerfectDisk 11 also here!!!!!!!!! rockssssssssssssssss sometimes i sue the tuneup utilities defrag 2010 does nice job too@!
Partition C:\ with windows and programs about once every 1-2 weeks
Partition D:\ with games, about 1-2 per month
I tried almost all defraggers (just for fun, they are most a few MB)
And the only one i liked was O&O V12
I use either O&O 12 or Ultimate Defrag.
Ultimate Defrag has the best GUI I have seen on a 3rd party defragger.
I use Smart Defrag. I tried others but this is by far the best defrag tool i ever used for windows 7.
I use Advance system care to defrag. But its kinda odd since it only defrag my HDD once.
Then everytime I analyze my HDD it shows my HDD is in good condition and doesn't need defrag. Windows defragger also shows the same thing.
Is this good? I rarely copy/delete data from my computer. Only gaming & installing games.
I was using Diskeeper 2010 Professional but when I bought an SSD before Christmas I realised that I needed HyperFast which I didn't purchase initially as at the time I had no plans to buy an SSD. Despite three emails to Diskeeper Corp. since 30th December 2009 asking about upgrading to a version with HyperFast for the $10 they quote on their website I haven't received ONE single reply. So they can get stuffed if that's what their support is like.
I've now purchased PerfectDisk 10 Professional for £22 with an option to upgrade to version 11 for free when it's released. Although Diskeeper 2010 was good, PerfectDisk 10 IMO is better as it uses less resources and you have far more control over when automatic background defragging occurs by setting the time between them and what percentage of fragmentation to defrag above. I noticed at times that Diskeeper liked to auto defrag while I was playing games but PerfectDisk 10 doesn't do that; it'll only defrag when the PC is idle and then you can set the CPU threshold, etc. It's just a more user friendly and customisable package. I'm now glad I switched over.
For some reason while i was trying PerfectDisk 10, i always felt it wasn't doing a good work
I use PerfectDisk 10. I keep it running in the back ground. I have never had any issues with it.
Been using jkdefrag/mydefrag for quit some time and like the results I get with drive access time afterwards, specially on my Toshiba Gigabeat F40 (HDD based MP3 player).
I second that.
