He may or may not be atiman, hes come to his defence in the past. I think he just knows him - Fellow Greek believe.
However, i agree with him, ive watched what it does.
it runs the CIM in silent mode
replaces the driver
then deletes any remaining files
reboots into pre-desktop mode
deletes any locked files it couldn't in user mode (stupid core-static for example)
removes registry entrys
logs back into user mode
if u feel the need to run something else, i would suggest to do AFTER Atiman, not before.
I wish i knew what half the other crap in there does (i get some odd boot isnt optimized message) but the cleanup routines are solid.
I actually tried Atiman once.
Turned out to be rather useless since it would only allow installation to C:\Program Files and my installed programs folder is on I: drive.
lol I used to waste alot of time doing all that crap. So very pointless now with the new amd utility. one click reboot and instal new driver. HAVE NOT HAD A SINGLE ISSUE WITH DRIVERS SINCE. all those other utilities screw up your comp
That's because you have an Intel chipset.
It's actually doing this step (it's atiilhag IIRC), along with the atiriol directory, that made systems failing the SFC check, thus Win7 SP1 refused to install back then.
Driver Sweeper that's older than 2.8.0 does that, but not the newer ones.
That's why when I see people saying "all versions of DS screws up your computer", I'd say "bollocks".
So in short, you approve of AMD releasing a tool that basically nukes AMD-based machines? lol...
that's why you will NEVER PLAY smooth...riiiiiiiiiiight
don't forget to stand on your head with a blindfold on while doing all these steps.
and sacrifice a chicken during a full moon...
if you are bored to do it correct it's your problem mates, i just mention the proper way to do it, all gamers we are not the same and not everybody likes smooth gaming nowadays.!
Well, I think is so simple !
Atiman create a small Catalyst_files_info utility that displays the files that remain in the system when use other programs except Atiman Uninstaller, like official AMD or driver sweeper, or any other.
Use this info tool and will see the different.
Yeah and registry cleaners are without a doubt the best way to keep your system optimized.
I see so you already have issues. I wasn't sure of why one would need to do all of that just to uninstall drivers. I guess you was experimenting...
My procedure may give some errors but now my system is fine. But yeah, it's dangerous.
kudos... but I think we can all agree this is most effective thing:
- pick up an m32
- point it directly at machine in question...
- depress trigger
that should wipe most things out... now you can buy a new machine and rest assured your registry is in pristine condition..
i only piss excellence...
Wrong. I tested LOTS of registry and utilities to uninstall. More than anyone here has listed. They all do the same but the amd utility is the easiest and fastest
DO NOT USE AMD uninstall utility if u're using win8 it will wipe ur registry and some function won't work as normal until u make recovery or completely reinstall windows...
it deletes your power profiles for whatever reason
