Any chance on fixing dxva acceleration for xp drivers? ATI broke that in 9.1 catalysts.

Pardon my ignorance, but I've been hearing about these modded drivers for a bit, and I was just curious exactly what they are for. Are they just streamlined to be smaller? Do they add features? Better performance? I remember when I had an nVidia card, I used Omega drivers for a while, but I didn't really notice a difference (I didn't actually do tests for any differences in performance). Thanks for any clarification you can provide. :p

Do you mean the WDDM drivers? If so, does this release by chance contain the 1.1 WDDM for Windows 7? Or is it just the Vista WDDM?

quick question, the 8.12 multicore "addon".. does that mean the 8.12 drivers are running or 9.1s with the "hotfix" injected into them?

@ForgedReality From what I've seen, it's just a buncha tweaks that anyone can do with ati tray tools.Mostly settings that bring IQ down for 2 fps gain.

I don't understand what it says about the agp hotfix and 8.12 multi-core hotfix. Are they separate drivers or are they implemented into one driver?

No these are the EDM drivers for Vista used for All-in-Wonder and VIVO boards

This will run the driver with the 8.12 multi-core HotFix for DX/D3d and the OpenGL (3.0) file from the 9.1 drivers.

This is not how it's done (at least for the DNA-ATi drivers)
And as for your question see the answer above.
