Ill check this today. Could take some time as this required a bit of work on the code.
Keep me posted if it work or not anf if it still crash, give me the same information as earlier.
Thanks worked perfect now no errors and clean uninstall
I wanted to apologize for my break from coding on the project. I've been sick for the least week, and not really been wanting to do much. I promise to come back better than I ever was!
No problem my friend ! You don't have to be sorry. Yo do what you want to do when you want to do.
i'm not in a hurry, maybe while doing this you can also do a separate options for all the nvidia installer things, like physx as told before, nvidia hd audio, geforce experience, nvidia update, nvidia driver 3d vision, driver controller 3d vision, only the video driver uninstall is needed most of the time
Maybe i'll do this but I do not agree when you state that only the video driver removal is needed most of the time.
For example it is not recommended to mix display driver version with different 3dvision version.
The aim of DDU is to uninstall/clean the driver from the system and make it look like an almost clean install state and by so fix some installation issues of newer drivers. If I leave all those things behind, I don't really see the purpose of cleaning with DDU... Just go to device manager and remove the driver there...
Physx is probably the only option Ill add since this is really more independent of the driver version.
Nothing in stone yet tho.
For information, My next big step is the removal of hidden devices.
-Fixed a lot of Potential Null exception Crash with the RegCleanUP
-Included a .config file that is needed for the application to choose the correct .net version
The point is giving users the choice of what they need, clean install of nvidia doesn't remove all video drivers files.
So maybe you should set all those options so that users can tick what to uninstall and what to leave
I understand. Ill put this on the "todo list".
Release 5.0 !
-Remove also Hidden drivers !! This will help clean further the Driver store.
-Fixed other potential Null exception Crash
Feedback on this version would be appreciated as much code changed on the background.
PhysX removal will now optional.
I know some people keep asking for it and it will be there in 5.1 when I release it. I have some performance improvement to do when we chose to not clean PhysX as it its at least 4x longer... (unacceptable)
Thanks for this. I'm going to give it a try once a new driver version comes out. I've always uses Driver Cleaner.net when I was on 7 but since moving over to 8 I've just installed over the top. Seems to be fine but I'll give your tool a try
thanks for the great tools
Here is a small Preview of whats to comes soon in V5.1:
-MultiThreading (faster in some case) + the gui is a lot more responsive now
-Tick box to allow or not to remove PhysX
-Fixed a few more potential null exception
-more PhysX cleanUP
-More package cleanup that were not remove ( a bug). Thanks to Dellon for that
I wonder how much better it can be
No problems using 5.1 with option to keep/remove PhysX driver.
You'd be surprised! The cards preceding my 780 were 560ti(2 years ago) and 680(last year). Imagine my shock when this program detected those 2 cards in the uninstallation windows. After numerous changes to drivers (using other driver sweepers and Windows uninstallation) it still had entries regarding my old cards in the registry. This program detected and removed those old entries so I think it's a safe bet it is much better!
