For your info, I have managed to fix this on my side. Should be included with the next release.

    Hey,

I installed my new sli setup recently.
I was using a 680 and had new drivers to install.
Either way, the new cards were working fine with and without the new drivers installation.

A week later I decided to do a clean reinstall of the driver, just to be sure.

DDU completed without any errors. New drivers installed without errors.

However, now my windows takes more than a minute to boot.
I have no idea what DDU did, but somehow it affected the boot times.

I am downloading Miscrosoft XPerf kit atm to see whats causing the slow down during boot.

Did it 5 times, its all loaded.

Xperf is harder to use than I expected.
The results I got were that autochk.exe is taking that extra time doing something.

    I am reinstalling windows.

    Sorry to hear this man.
I truly believe that DDU is not responsible for this.
Also just in case, DDU does a systemrestore point if you want to rollback if not too late.

If you are able to reproduce or have any indication that could lead to be DDU fault, please feel free to let me know how to repro.
But as I only have you reporting this, I think it must be something else...
    But who knows.

Edit: some Microsoft info on autochk.exe (this process should not start everytime the system start btw. its a check-disk, no wonder it takes time.)
    Question is why it run.

After hitting my head against windows a little more, I noticed a new event about Smart detecting a problem in one of the disks.

I ran a HDD check and it seems one of my HDDs is dying.

The autochk starts because windows notices there is something wrong with the disks (dirty), however it doesn't detect any problems because the dying HDD is just relocating sectors, which seems to be increasing over time...

In conclusion, it was just a bad coincidence that my HDD started to die right when I used DDU.

I am sorry for the headache, your software rocks.

Thanks for the reply of your findings. I guess a big in DDU would have been better for you than a failing HDD :(

Maybe the problem above related to the recent windows update KB3004394.
"December 2014 update for Windows Root Certificate Program in Windows"
I cannot post a link but you can search it on the net.

I've got a problem where the reboot of my computer is taking a long time, the circle (windows circle) actually stops/freezes and then starts again. This started happening after I was using the iGPU and moved to my current 970 cards.

I keep seeing the bolded "error" and cannot find a way to get rid of it and was hoping you can provide some advise?

Example of the log file output:

Try the Intel cleanUp in the DDU options.
Also, looking at the Vbios info, maybe 1 of your card need a vbios update because they are not identical.

Yeah I noticed it says that too, they're identical though.

I've ran the Intel clean-up but it showing that error. I've installed the driver, it keeps saying that. I've removed the driver, it keeps saying that. I've ensured the iGPU is disabled via BIOS and device manager, it keeps saying that. It's really odd.

I ran pnputil which showed it existing, I then removed it and now it's not around anymore but somehow the program is still finding it (if it's indeed iGPU, I've never had AMD here).

Go into device manager and click View/Show hidden devices.

Technically something should be visible under other devices. (should appear as something as a 3D video controller or something around those lines.)
Double click on it and then go to the "details" tab.
Give me the "hardware id" of it.

Ok so I'm back after having some logon problems.

I gave up trying to fix my computers slow reboot, so I removed and reinstalled everything. As expected afterwards DDU didn't show this error anymore.

However, I did something stupid with the 970 drivers and the OS so I had to boot in using my iGPU again. Guess what, DDU started reporting the exact same problem again curiously.

I couldn't fix that either (lol) so rinse and repeat was done so it plays nice again but just an FYI for you, I don't know what or why that is happening. In this case I had not installed any drivers etc, just enabled iGPU via BIOS.

May well not have anything to do with DDU, just odd it's there and it reports on it.

It's not critical, it report this as there is a driver without an associated class. If it's not used, it shouldn't give you problems
