Thanks for your help today as this bug had the chance of preventing other stuff being removed under special circumstance .

6.3 is released

 

Tried v6.3, it detects the audio device but still could not remove AMD Audio driver (oem23). Can we determine what other process is using that driver and may be shut it down first (if safe)?

Ok, go to device manager then click on the Sound and Video controller drop down menu next click on the view tab and choose show hidden device. Then take a picture and upload it to the thread.

 

Inside DDU folder, Go into the x64 folder where the devcon reside with cmd.exe(command prompt with admin privilege)

type exactly with the quote : devcon remove =media "@HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_1002&DEV_AA01&SUBSYS_00AA0100&REV_1003\5&24BFBB8A&0&0001"


tell me if it work and if not, give me the error it produce.

Normally it should produce an error as this is what my application is trying to do to remove your amd audio.

Not sure, hopefully it will get pinned soon when more users discover how capable DDU is when it comes to uninstalling drivers. As Wagnard has put alot of work into helping AMD come closer to achieving a clean system without having to re-install your OS on a consistent basis after flooding it with numerous display drivers.

There's a new driver, so I'm gonna try it now .

PS: Any new updates on a new DDU version or any information what you are going to do now?

 

We are working on an auto notification of new version. I will also try to bring my DCom/Typelibs/AppID rewrite from the nvidia cleaning part to AMD.

The next version also show the current driver installed and detect windows 8.1

It is a little harder to develop to amd now since I do not own anymore an AMD gpu. (used to have one on my laptop). Ill probably buy a new amd gpu with the donation I receive. (quite low atm tho). or ill simply buy a super cheap pci-e amd gpu for my desktop.

There is clearly a new driver today as DDU downloads are exploding today.

I didn't have this problem before the cfg choosing the net.framework(like version v4.0-v4.3(.3), so maybe there is something with that.

If you could maybe get this fixed or if you need more information (which I probably don't have), please tell me so.

The big part is not really inside. (auto update)
7.0 Will mostly do a better cleanUP for Nvidia users. and will give driver versio number.
DDU already do a good job with AMD. There are still things to be done but so far I don't hate the current state of the AMD cleaner.
