Seems a Catalyst issue at first look, especially if you can install older versions.

Nothing appears

I downloaded DDU the newest version and the version before and neither seems to be working for me. After I download the file the 7-zip self extractor says its extracting but I dont see any files afterword. When I try to do it again it asks if I want to replace the old files? I don't see any files anywhere. I've tried multiple locations still with no luck. I have a Sony Vaio SVE14a27cxh it has a dual graphics AMD Radeon™ HD 7670M and Intel HD 4000 (i believe), and I'm trying to use this utility to get rid of the random freezing and bsod that is plaguing my windows 10 experience. I've went into settings and made sure to reveal any hidden files. I uninstalled one of my firewall programs and closed the other down. Still nothing. I dont understand how it can overwrite files that are no where to be found? Any help would be extremely appreciated.:bang:
Edit: Also probably doesnt make a difference but I have replaced the original hdd with an ssd (Sandisk Ultra II). Everything else is as the computer came.

That is unusual?

Run the DDU as an administrator and enter the path C:\DDU in the Extract to Box. The extractor will create the folder if it is not present on the hard drive.

Go to the Root of C:\ and see if the folder is present. Check inside the folder and report back on results of files being present or not.

You can add to the program to remove the utility AMD Power Express (present in some Catalyst) and this registry key:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Wow6432Node\AMD\MFTVDecoder]
"TranscodeThreshold"=dword:00000000

 

No Luck

Watcher I tried what you said. Did it twice. And unfortunately it was the same result. I snipped a couple photos to show you. Maybe I am missing something? Thanks for your response, and appreciate any future help.
