Hey guys, I was responsible this time around for the roaming config file, and I'd really love it if you guys could try it out, so we can figure out if it's entirely working or not. There shouldn't be any permission issues, and should work fine on any OS.

    Thanks.

For the last couple of releases of DDU I noticed that the option to automatically download drivers was not changed. It was set to the default, automatically install.

I just ran DDU to install the 15.8beta cats. When in safe-mode I looked at the options and saw it was still set to automatic. I manually changed it to never install software. Didn't DDU do this at one time?

Seems like I made an oops. I tried the test DDU you gave me and noticed that I did get the message about changing my update settings. I pressed OK and everything went fine.

I then thought to myself that maybe there was a message using the production DDU and I may have closed it instead of pressing OK. I fired up the production version of DDU and sure enough I got the update settings message and pressed OK. Everything went fine.

So it was my fault. My bad. My humble apologies.

thanks for this. At the last update for my R5-230A AMD on my desktop with windows 7, I lost sound. AMD support ticket responder said to:

"Uninstall amd drivers using the Display Driver Uninstaller program in safe mode.

start the driver installation and under installation type go for custom

Install just the driver. some options are mandatory dont worry about those. After the installation is done reboot

Now install remaining items except for catalyst control center. Again don't worry about mandatory stuff. after the installation is done reboot again

install catalyst control center it should work fine ."

So I have not been able to get through the first step a few times now. My question now is this the Uninstaller I want/need considering it says recommended for R7 and above?

    Am a noob.

I've been using DDU for a good long while now, always getting the latest update with prompted.

I just however had Windows Defender come up and warn me that DDU contained something dodgy called Hadsruda!bit, and then removed the DDU exe.

Did a quick Google and other people are reporting it as well:
    http://www.ign.com/boards/threads/ddu-trojan.454574216/

When I downloaded the latest DDU I used the link the program gave me on it's update dialog.

    What's going on?

    Thanks a lot, Wagnard! :)

Regarding, false positives; I can now confirm that Windows Defender on Windows 10 does not target the exe as a threat anymore ;)

    Cheers!
