I find it a sad state that we actually need these things.

I could've used this yesterday when Driver Fusion did not work out for me. Maybe I'll try it today because in the morning my NVCPL was not opening but a quick reinstall fixed it.

Edit: Btw when using in normal windows, do you need us to first uninstall the GPU from device manager or can I just run the application directly?

I agree, I think the company(amd/nvidia) or windows itself should be able to do this kind of maintenance.
    Maybe on Windows 9 ?

No you don't need to do anything.
But I strongly recommend safe mode to be sure there is no open files by Windows or some applications.

AMD made an attempt (honestly not in the loop with nvidia) with an complete uninstall tool, but it was still missing stuff left and right, I had to resort to some abandoned uninstall program.

It's also windows, trying to get rid of old drivers you just do not want in windows is a migraine.

I have been using Driver sweeper 3.0 for years in safemode before install new drivers, But I have since switched to Wagnard driver uninstaller and it works better then driversweeper. Its almost like install drivers for first time on OS everytime.

Never had issue with any driver uninstaller ever screwing anything up, it general the person using said programs not know what they doing causing issue.

Glad this finally made the download section. Isn't it also GNU General Public License/Open Source?

Regardless, it's better than having to pay for a remover like with Driver Fusion (although I still like Driver Fusion just as well).

Only time I worry about left over registry entries is when I switch from NVidia to AMD or vice versa.... Even then, all I do is uninstall the old drivers and run a registry cleaner to remove the remains.

Can you send me your log?
You are the first to have this much problem from the +- 5k users of DDU

Also are you sure you did not used another cleaner before or after usin DDU?
Some other cleaner have bugs that can lead to what you said

I must say this is the only program that detected leftovers from a previous amd gpu in my system. No ccleaner, driversweeper/fusion did that. Kudos to you sir.

Some antivirus programs dont rly like it. Some of it deletes the .exe and you wont see on safe boot, unless u unpack it in safe boot.

Yes some AV heuristic flag it as a low reputation risk.
It's common for a third party application.

I usually try to submit the app to them for clearing the flag.

DDU is nifty. It helped me out last week when the Catalyst drivers failed to install. Highly recommended.

The best driver uninstaller period. Hopefully doesn't end up being bought over and ending up premium like Driver sweeper.
