since when its cryengine, i can see barely any similarity in the character models, or movement and weapon positioning on screen as games like crysis 2 and 3,

    PREY is on CryEngine.
Just because it doesn't look like Crysis 2 doesn't mean it's not using the engine.

    Stand-alone, interesting.
And her arm is back to being off again, interesting although that was a optional bit in the main game requiring a bit finesse or how to say.

    Yeah... no.
Merchants of Brooklyn takes that prize. And even then, PREY looks great. Just because it's not cutting edge or pushing the engine to it's limits... doesn't mean it looks bad.

This is a once in a gen-type game. Never played the first, but this is absolutely phenomenal.

Anyone else notice Bethesda games have the worst graphics?

Where are you getting that from? Bethesda games based on Idtech engine are looking great. Some older ones like Rage are still holding fine even today and game like Doom is one of the best looking out there.

    DisHonored II looks amazing.
And, I don't care... PREY is a good looking game, but more importantly... it's a fun game to play. Same with Fallout 4.

But... I for one am done with this tired debate. It's been going since PREY was released, and I just don't care anymore. PREY is awesome.

    BUT... new DisHonored content.
They've said this is a stand alone game, and not DLC. I can't wait. More DisHonored is fantastic news.

Prey graphics is kind of like a comic book style... or cartoon style.. if that makes sense? It's just a visual style.

Prey is not technically impressive and initally I was a bit underwhelmed with it graphically but the more I played the more I appreciated the attention to detail and level design which are really that game's strength IMO. It's such a fun game to explore and the only way it could have been better is if the entire game area had been seamless instead of broken up by loading screens.

As for Dishonored 2, it is a nice looking game but the Void Engine is a poor fit IMO, leading to distractingly juddery performance at anything other than a locked 60 fps even on G-SYNC hardware capable of running the game at much higher framerates (e.g. the GTX 1080 Ti). The first Dishonored, which ran on Unreal Engine 3, ran better than the horribly unoptimised sequel. Each patch might improve performance but it is still not where it should be in my experience. Fortunately, I've almost finished the game now as I'm on the last level.

Stating the obvious Dishonored and Prey are solid games tho. dishonored 2 got what it deserved from the horror show of a port they gave it - aka bad sales.

I wouldn't say they have the worst graphics. They really just like to use an art-style that's not appealing to the majority of gamers, me included. I tried to 'get' into it, no avail.

I knew they used similar art style for Dishonoured 2, but for some reason i thought it looked better in the videos I watched than the game in front of me.

Like I said I dont think it is " distractingly juddery" for everyone. It isn't that way here anyway.

Indeed, a very strange art style.
