Just turn it on DX9 and you get with your card over 100fps everywhere :D without loosing quality. Ok if not joking I tried DX9 and DX11 mode, where is no different, just twice FPS.

try disabling vsync and check if minimum fps are still around 40-50...if so, this is a gpu usage bug needed to be fixed by amd or you should change your settings a bit more low...

i hope you are using latest 11.5b hotfix and 11.5 cap3 profiles...they provide lots of fps...

I found a semi-solution, turn ambient occlusion to low it fixes the fps drops in the rain and fixes the black texture flickering that happens occasionally helps a bit in the cockpit but there is still graphic corruption in the cockpit.

yeah Ambient Occlusion is a Nice Feature, With out tat Game is not tat good, on XP AO option is not there[ Because no dx 11].... Dirt 3 looks better on Windows 7 with AO and dx11...

You don't have to set Ambient Occlusion to "low".
All I did is set Ambient Occlusion to "High" and Shadows to "High" instead of Ultra.
Everything else is maxed out @1080P + full AA.
The game runs at constant 60fps (with V-Sync) for me on every level and weather even with my mid range video card. (see in profile).

I don't get how you guys with your HD5970 cannot max out in this game.
Maybe you are using some uber AA mode (try the box filtering) or you have Morphological Filtering enabled (Disable it)?

Yea High vs. Ultra AO is hardly worth the FPS loss. Ultra has a little more blur to it but something your never going to notice in game let alone racing.

Indeed. And the fps gain is amazing. Up to 15fps on some tracks.
Also the Shadows setting, hardly noticeable High vs Ultra. I noticed fps gain up to 10fps.

Anyone got the issue with the fences disappearing as u drive closer to them? Otherwise this games graphics are near perfection imo :)

Is there an actual option for dx11 or do u enable dx11 simply by setting available options to ultra?

It should run in DX11 as long as you are on Windows 7 and your video card supports DX11.

And are you sure you're not just hitting the fence?

At the menu screens click options and set to ultra.

So what you are saying that if I set it on High instead of Ultra then it will not run in DX11 mode?
