DirectStorage Demo 1.1 with GPU Decompression

This is a compiled version of Microsoft's Bulk Load Demo.

Download it and see what your system can do.
Post your GPU, NVme drive and PCi-e Gen. So we can compare results.

Run the exe in :
DirectStorage_1_1\x64\Release\Output\BulkLoadDemo\BulkLoadDemo.exe

here is friends pc, 11900k with a 3080 12gb and 980pro 1tb pcie4.0

All on 5800x3D and an Asus Tuf 3080, PCIe 4.0.

WD_BLACK 500GB SN750 NVMe Internal Gaming SSD Solid State Drive - Gen3 PCIe, M.2 2280, 3D NAND, Up to 3,430 MB/s - WDS500G3X0C

 

Seems like the main limiting factor in this benchmark is the PCI-e version the SSD uses.
Gen 3 nvme drives seem to be topping out at around 12Gb/s.

 

Il run this tomorrow, what is the figure (score) you are using, bandwidth?
Ive got a Corsair MP600 ProXT as a c Drive so hopefully a decent score

 

Just the bandwidth in GB/s
Although, time to load, can also be used.
