    Hi.

I have one Sapphire R9 290 Tri-X @ core: 1000MHz Mem: 1300 and a Gigabyte R9 290 @ core: 1040MHz Mem: 1250MHz. I use afterburner to set the clocks on both cards @ 1000/1300MHz. Reason I do this is because I have encountered random freeze in windows and need to do a hard reboot when it happens. Does not happen when I sync the cards.

I am thinking I could save the Sapphire bios @1000/1300 and flash it on the gigabyte card. (or try to find a gigabyte bios with the same clocks as the sapphire card). That way I don't need to remember to sync clocks at every boot. Afterburner "should" do this, but I manually have to open it and press reset on the main card to sync them.

Any pros and/or cons on my idea here? Any input would be welcome :)

if that gigabyte has reference board as Tri-X, then you may use same bios.

i would only try such a bios flash if the card has a dualbios,
    does it?

btw: i think you can set the same clocks easily in the ccc?!

It does, but the fan profile should be a bit different...reference vs tri-x.
