So, 859am EST to 920am EST attempting to buy if possible 2 3090 rtx and nvlink bridge

    attempt
from two different pcs and two cell phones

every time I selected check availability the site address changed to /en-gb/ instead of /en-us/ and sent me to British page

unable to get check availability to go to us site (I am in the US).

at 911am, there was a brief instant where I could put one in cart, but unable to go to checkout.

at 923am, still got GB page on check availability. Yes browser cache cleared etc.

At high level, sure, its from being overwhelmed..

    HOWEVER
As I sit here in the east coast. 4 devices on separate networks, including mobile, - did get redirected to en-gb page extensions on all verification and cart attempts. THAT seems more than just "busy".

Phones, not using wifi, from two different carriers also got redirected to UK (again, sitting here on east coast of US)

So upon ALL our attempts, the UK redirect seemed to be taking place from 9am to 920am +

Around 940, the site began behaving normally, with no stock

    (all times EST)

So, I saw it myself, four different routes, four different devices, redirected to UK. All stores were UK and prices were in British Pounds. The nVidia Digital river (their own store) was also displaying founders edition in British Pounds.

When I was ablet to go to cart, check out turned into a perpetual loop back to UK pricing and shops.

I wonder how many real folks actually got a real 3090 at 9am purchase?

It was always rigged so people wouldn't get any. They just needed to paper launch the 30 series with limited supply to make quick money before RDNA2 comes out, and then release 30 Super Series with the same cards, but with double the VRAM for $100 more.

It'll all depend on AMD's pricing, but we do know they have more VRAM, so expect the 30 series to be even more short-lived than the 20 series. There will be a 3080 Super with 20GB VRAM announced days before AMD announces cards.

+100 more for the 20GB 3080 seems very optimistic...

Sounds about right. With the 3090 not offering much in the way of additional performance over the 3080 a 20GB 900 quid 3080 almost seems like a steal. Almost...

Realistically, I think the RTX3080 20GB will be around £950. Just under a grand.
