So I have an old 5770 thats obviously a meh card. I just bought a 660ti and I put bf3 on all ultra and the best setting and it ran great no hiccups...

I havent had an nV card in a very long time and Im hoping I did choose a good nv card this time....

    thoughts?

Many of the HD7xxx cards have black screen and loop sound issue when playing BF3.

I think you just answered your own question. ;)

    Can always overclock it anyway.

That BSOD won't be anything to do with your board.

yeah i think it can be picky with oc's on the gpu though. had more driver not responding with bf3 than any other game..

I dont get those either, I go for 100% stability anything higher on my gpu`s and crysis 2 dx11 will error out with the same error.

Need info like voltages, clock speeds etc...are you overclocking via the FSB or the CPU multi?

What is the BSOD stop code?

no matter if I OC via FSB ot CPU I always get a BSOD

Ive tried all kinds of combinations...Ive come down to the fact that its my mobo who cant handle the volage

Even though your board is low end it has 8+2 phase control so overclocking shouldn't be an issue. Your problem lies elsewhere.

But if you don't want to give me any info then there's not much I can do to help you....so - good luck. ;)

I dont know about the red stuff (i dont even bother for the lack of physx) But The GREEN Stuff.. Well thats a whole diffrent Animal.
Now the 660TI have the potentional of a 670 BUT... (and a very BiG BolTeD BUT),
They Chocked The 660 With That 192BIT Interface.!
I you ask me, Its A GPU Malsting!
Its like owning a F1 Car With A FIAT Engine.
    (now you do the math)

(if i was you, i would have saved just a lil more for the 670)
