Electric sorceress is pretty fun and it’s a build I’ve never really played in any of these games.

Chain lightning was one of the best builds in D2.

Ice was good but fire sucked in the original D2 but D2R got some buffs on fire builds especially hydra.

    Lightning sorc was op.

Played about quite 16 hours of this game as a Sorcerer from 7am on Friday morning until 1:30am on Saturday morning, with around 2 hours in breaks for meals, drinks and toilet visits. Got to level 34 and had a real blast playing it. It’s certainly very addictive!

Had no issues with logging in, no waiting times and no disconnections during the three play sessions, one lasting 7 hours. The only hiccup I encountered was when the game stopped accepting inputs, except for accessing the menus, from my Xbox Elite V2 controller. This issue was preceded by the screen flashing. Fortunately, all I had to do was exit to the menu and continue the game and everything was working again. This issue has only happened once, thankfully.

You're right, the map is correct, in fact all the interactive maps are. Just at the very beginning of act 1, there was a few that weren't showing in the open world, until completing a few quests.

I just started Act IV, finally got my horse! Lvl 37. I'm absolutely in love with the game, it's even better than I expected, from a levelling and story standpoint.

The story is the best I've seen in any Diablo game by a country mile. Lots of references to past Diablo games, really well written and cracking cutscenes.

Curious to see the meat and potatoes of this game once I hit end game. But so far, I'm blown away.

The aim is to hit lvl 55 today and start dabbling in some end game activities.

Playing twisting blades rogue, absolutely roflstomping everything in my path.

Finally beat the butcher, it was much easier with a friend. Already at 2 legendaries at level 25.

The game is not without bugs, i gotta say. At one point I teleported to beneath the floor with my sorceress. At another time I went through a door into a mine for an early act 1 quest and unbeknownst to me it ported me way into the mine at a blocked door (which I thought I came through) by a mineshaft. I unknowingly fought my way all the way back to where I entered from and after going through the door realized where I was. The door it ported me to is one an NPC needs to squeeze through a crack to open.

I had that in the Queens chamber, a spider dungeon. Maybe the entrance was a hole in the floor so you drop from the ceiling.
I just teleported out of there to a village.

Also had a bug in the barbarian char quest where you hunt big boss animals. They could hit me but my char wouldnt attack them at all.

I think my one main criticism with the game right now is that it’s daytime far too often. I just want it to be night all the time.

I had 3 legendaries drop until lvl 32, the first was lucky at around lvl 17 and made a huge dmg boost for the next 5 levels. Late 20s the game got a bit harder, but after some dungeon runs, the drops made up for it.

Just beat the main story campaign. Took around 20 hours of chill gameplay. I watched every cinematic and listened to every line of conversation. Here's what I think, as a Diablo fan since the Diablo demo in 1997.

Game of the year for me for the main campaign. 9.5/10. I deducted half a point because of a couple of reasons.
The way Duriel fight happens, was lame, Duriel is a lesser evil and was treated like a mini boss / big elite. The 2nd reason was how Donan died, really silly.

Overall, the story was great, very linear and I loved that. The last part of Act VI is lvl 45+ and I was only lvl 42 but I face tanked all the fights, it was a doddle. Now like I said, the story line is linear, which I like, because it allows you to focus on it if you so wish. Just make sure you do at least some side activities because I think at below lvl 40 and with poor gear, the last part could be hard for some.

Graphically, the game is gorgeous. Voice acting is on the money, all of the characters were voice acted really well. Donan's story arch almost reminded me of the Baron from TW3. Obviously, in a game like Diablo, they're not going to go into quite such a depth, story wise, but it was reminiscent.

Combat is top notch, Blizzard always have really responsive and crisp combat in their games.

What I really liked was seeing old places, enemies and foes from Diablo 2. Won't name them, but was so good to revisit these locations and seeing these old faces again!

The ending was perfect, in my opinion, left fairly open and with lot of potential for new story arches and expansion.

As a base of a live service game, this is spot on.

    Love the game.

    Beat the game.

NOW I CAN FINALLY PLAY THE GAME!

Wonder if to run it with DLAA or Res upscaler.
Currently running at 4K+150% upscale, and it works between 75-110fps, seems like DLAA also doing a good job.
DLSS3.0 might be bugged for AMD CPUS yet again, as it barely changes anything and have stutters at times.

Grats, do post some endgame thoughts and opinions as I'm quite interested to know what its like without having it completely spoiled by some streamer.

I'm a bit "behind" myself, missus who is my coop partner for these sort of games was out last night so I had a bachelor's session all evening on my solo rogue which I will play as an alt whenever she's doing lady things. Started my Barb main this morning and initially I was a bit unsure but when I unlocked Rend all became clear. Such a satisfying ability and does a lot of damage. Currently testing my old spin-to-win build I used in D3 but I need better gear and fury generation.

My fav Barb combat prozedure atm:
    1. Hit with Bash (MouseLeft). More fury and stuns somewhat.
    2. Hit with LungingStrike (MouseRight). More fury and bleeding dmg.
    3. Hit with Rend (1). Bleeding for whole crowd.
    4. Kick (2) the biggest enemy and aim to make him crash into more enemies or objects.
Very satisfying to watch the enemy crowd breaking up like that, making it easy to jump around via LungingStrike to whoever is almost finished. Kick more enemies via second kick.
If someone has armor, stab him with Rupture.

Finished Act I yesterday night at lvl 33, lvl 35 or 36 atm. Did some dungeons and side quest, around 90% of the first zone done... no rush in going to Act II. Friends are having little game time so im taking it slow.

I let the little dog pet stay in the closet, not compatible with a WW barb, poor dog was on puking spree lol

I was playing tier 2 difficulty all the way up to level 36 but have decided to go down to tier one. The reward vs challenge just isn't worth the grind IMO. If they increased the rare loot drop then maybe, but the little bonus to XP and gold isn't worth it. My sorcerer felt weaker as I progressed.

The final straw was helping an ice chieftain fight a dungeon boss. BTW, I had already cleared probably 7 dungeons without much problem, but this one was terribly unbalanced! I was at the same level as the boss but kept dying by his heat-sinking projectiles. After three deaths and spending $10,000 gold repairing my gear I was done with tier 2. I switched to tier 1 and beat him without any problems.

I just had another annoying bug. I started a side quest in Kyovashad last night and the NPC wanted me to go in this cellar so I called it quits for the night. Log in today and the quest is completed.

Edit: Just had another, I’m clearly supposed to go into this sewer beneath Kyovashad but I have no way to enter, it won’t let me click it or anything. This game is actually quite buggy.
