yes - i said it already, i don't mind the editions i only mind what those editions bring in D4 specifically. battle pass system, pay 2 win, buying grind time on a grind game, buying cosmetics, all the same in my eyes. only time will tell just how much pay-2-win seeped into Diablo 4. Blizzard PR is not something i would rely on, so Blizzard being transparent.. well lets see by the end of 2023. i expect it only to get worse, won't matter to me since im not buying it.
Played about 3-4 hours of the early Beta, having a blast. I really, REALLLLY like the darker tone and atmosphere of the game - reminiscent of D1 and 2, both visual and sound. Graphics are really good and optimized, runs almost constant 120fps @3440x1440p on what is now and "old" system. Gameplay is a lot slower (so far) and I for one like that as well and talent tree seems to be quite complex. Anyway, I think I'll play this game a lot on release, judging by first impressions.
Yup, same here. Have a few hiccups here and there but the gfx are fantastic. The music could be a little more intense, D2 def had better music. Overall though the atmoshpere is awesome.
Now tell me: Deluxe Ed. is with Pass (but only for 3-m yes? not for a Year) IMhO better to get Standard Ed. + 1Y pass -> it will be ~89$ ..... lol
The game is great so far. Got to level 16 as a Barb. The combat is great, it does start off really REALLY slow but it soon picks up after a few levels. Graphics are nice and the atmosphere is much darker than 3 was. And the audio is exceptional, the addition of cutscenes and your custom character being in them is nice too. I have run into a few bugs though, the first main quest when you get into the city which tells you to go back to the first dungeon and beat the boss and find a key is literally uncompletable for me. I've done it 3 times now and the quest marker is still on the map and I have no other main quest added to progress with. So I've been doing the side quests and mini dungeons. Also got stuck on the environment a few places but other than this its been quite smooth. And DLSS in this game is the best implementation my old eyes have seen. Quality literally looks no different from disabled and the added sharpeness is nice too. This also saves around 100-150w of power consumption.
Alright so this is a good ass Diablo game. I really like what they’re doing with the zoomed in cinematic cutscenes like Baldurs Gate 3 is doing. The art is great, the music is great, the story is dark. Looks very good too. This brings me to the big problem, despite getting a steady 144fps at 1440 99% of the time, the other 1% I am getting random, *heavy* stutters. I’m not sure if this is shader comp, traversal, or something else. It’s bad though, I hope they get this ironed out before release because the game that’s here is fantastic. Edit: Another weird side thing, this game ties into my Corsair keyboard and dynamically changes the key colors and what’s lit up depending on what abilities are available and whatnot. This is without setting anything up at all. I’ve never seen this in any game. Seems cool but I may end up disabling it, not sure.
Seems turning textures to medium and shadows to high helped with the stutters a lot. Yet another game pushing past that 10gb VRAM mark….
Yeah I too get the occasional stutters, but other than that, very smooth. It's exactly the same in D3 (with K95). The only other games that I can remember that "took over" the keyboard like this is Far Cry New Dawn and Metro Exodus. No idea how it works, but I actually like it.
