I know Blizz dev times are slower than most geological events, but come on! Is that all you can offer your players – a character in one game and guess what, a character in the other..
I am hoping it will be free too. But after the price I saw for Overwatch I am ready for some really big prices. Sales, please come faster.
This wont bring me back... i'm done with the terrible game engine it uses. I mean come on 16 sound channels in a group to avoid massive stuttering... It been present since launch and they refuse to fix it...
Stutters like **** for me with 4 Players when i use 128 Channels. When there is a **** ton going on i get like 0-10 FPS. When i set Channels to 16 it stays smooth. Must be because i have a high end Dedicated Soundcard.
W the hell is wrong this necromancer voice in that trailer.. so stupid. Also the trailer is such a useless garbage.. like all trailers are, except its blizzard so I expected a bit more decency.
You mean upgrading to DX11 (from DX9), 64bit client (from 32bit client), the addition of SSAO and MSAA all in one patch (2.4.3 PTR) is not enough?
The game looks really great now. The only problem I have is texture corruption when SSAO or MSAA enabled. I wonder if we'll be getting a driver update for this game since it switched over to DX11
I've been following every article on D3's homepage and I haven't seen anything about any of that. It sounds awesome. Is there a source I can read through to whet my nearly dead appetite for D3?
I'm curious, do you have a G-sync monitor? I've also always had issues with Sound Channels on Max but always thought it was related to G-sync (actually I've never had a smooth experience during my time with G-sync monitors now that I think of it).
Nope, I have a Qnix Nothing official from Blizz that I could find, haven't really digged for it though. On PTR 2.4.3 you have an option for SSAO and MSAA in the settings. The game also runs DX11 which you can see if you have MSI Afterburner fps counter enabled, it now says D3D11 instead of D3D9. People also are reporting that the game client on PTR is 64bit. Now, these changes with a decent amount of content (class re-balancing, new legendaries, maybe a new set etc) and a new season would definitely bring me back to D3. Skipped season 8 because, well, everyone has, due to lack of changes to the game. Not that crazy about the D1 remake, looks very D3 still but I'll play that too. Here's a couple of links talking about DX11, SSAO, MSAA and 64bit http://us.battle.net/forums/en/d3/topic/20752115209 https://www.reddit.com/r/Diablo/comments/5bx6ga/diablo_3_now_runs_in_directx_11_with_updated/
The Sound Channel issue still seems to be around after some forum browsing, last post about it was 1 day ago. I play Heroes of the Storm just fine with 128 Sound Channels, so it's game related.
That's weird. I would start with trying onboard audio to see if the problem still persists. If not, it's the card, drivers or the game just not liking something about the SB ZxR. Have you tried the sound card in a different slot?
I have yes thru the years. As far as Onboard goes, i'm not gonna bother as i recently reinstalled Win 10. Not interested in installing additional crap for a crappy sound device ^^ I can wait untill D4 in 2025.
ive never used a seperate soundcard on my system in my life never heard even anyone tell me, u should use a seperate soundcard for gaming, i never had any issue...
