It's still good, it's just not as good. It felt more legendary before the nerf, I'm not sure why they felt the need to nerf one of a few good 2Hs, especially one aimed at Crusaders who aren't exactly known to be tearing it up with phat deeps right now. What's more annoying is they stealth nerfed it without a post or anything, like we wouldn't notice.
Got the fourth piece to the Blackthorne's Battlegear set for my monk today doing a bounty hunt, when it dropped on opening a chest. One more piece and it will be complete, the monsters are kinda ticked now that my monk is immune to ground effects. http://nightowl224.imgur.com/all/
Chest, legs and belt (I think, or was it boots or both for blackthorne?) are ok for early on because it's hard to find very offensive stats on those 3 pieces compared to others. But yes that necklace is... very tank to put it positively.
Not for me, I kill stuff pretty quick, thanks to a lot of dex, and thanks to dex buff due to paragon. Just need the leg armor yet. I use exploding palm equipped with the essence burn rune, when I kill one enemy, that one explodes, the others around him start to burn, then as I kill the others they explode all over the place causing all other enemies around them to burn, and explode. Makes for cleaning out hordes of skeletons, undead, and most demons darn quick. I also use crippling wave, equipped with mangle which kills enemies leaving them in flaming pieces all over the place. Have a legendary weapon that does 2,156 damage per second, once I complete the Shenlong's weapon set things are going to get really interesting.
dex alone won't give you a lot of damage, you need a lot of crit chance, crit damage etc. you could have 10k dex and still crappy dps if you don't have the above. what difficulty are you playing on? Trust me, you're sacrificing a LOT of damage going with Blackthorne set. aaah, dem l33t deeps!!! YES!!! you actually have to play the game now. Cool, right?
Sharpshooter + frenzy eclap? On a personal note, so done with this game. Killing monsters past certain point became so monotonous that it felt like playing a glorified slot machine, pulling that lever over and over til 'phat loot' dropped. Mix bit of lapse of self control and result is an experience that I feel disgusted with at the end.
Respectfully, who made you the expert and master of this game, and asked you for advice when I sure didn't. I also don't see where it is any of your business what difficulty I am playing on as long as I am having fun playing the game. I have been playing the monk a long time, and built my character up to where he is at through hard work and honest play time, and don't sit in front of my computer for hours on end like some people do any more. So perhaps in the future unless somebody ask's for advice you will refrain from offering it, and go on enjoying the game and playing it.

Its fine lol, he is just overly sensitive, as seen by his comment. Blackthorne is actually bad and what is hard work anyway? This is a farming game and all you have to use are mouse buttons and 1234q. As long as you don't stand in **** against elite packs that can kill you quickly, you have done your "hard work". Anyway, I got my third piece of the IK set on my barb (+ royal grandeur), so I have like 820k dps now and I just melt everything in torment 4, no problem. Elite packs die in ~10 secs. I don't feel like trying to farm T5 yet, because I don't have a stone of jordan. I am also looking for the EQ set, but no luck so far. I went from WW build to a Fire build with HotA. 17m crits are op along with permanent CotA. I still need more gear though. I am debating whether I want the Magefist gloves or Tusker gloves. I am not sure if I want to use the earth set along with IK or use those gloves mentionned above ^.
You're posting on an open discussion thread while being obviously inexperienced. Nobody is bashing you, eclap knows his stuff when it comes to the game and was only trying to help. You're clearly running an overly tanky setup, considering the amount of legendary gear you have it's safe to assume you've played long enough to at least be running T2 with good kill speeds by now. Oh, and if you need to apply the words "Hard work and honest playtime" to a computer game, I suggest you find a new hobby unless you're being paid for it. Sounds like the sort of thing old guild mates of mine would come out with in MMO's after having lived in game for weeks on end.
Nice dps! By the way how did you manage to get so many emeralds? Im looking for my topazes and they just dont drop.. :\ I know goblins drop them decently but they are rare to find..
Cluster arrow hits for around 15m. In that screenshot I'm running with power pylon and frenzy shrine btw, my unbuffed sheet dps is 980k, I get 15m ish with that damage. Would be more with a 2 hander of course. Quaker, just keep playing, you'll get gems. I've struggled with emeralds, seeing as I have equipped all my character with 130% crit damage ones, still need to upgrade the ones in chest/pants.
Got my 2nd Danetta last night. While the set bonus isn't great on paper, it's amazing for someone like me, a sucker for mobility. I can vault non stop now, clearing bounties/rifts is a lot faster, my efficiency went through the roof! Also upped my damage to 988k sheet dps now. Love it
There are no reasons for me to play at 150fps. Is there a way to enhance graphics? I mean higher than the in-game settings.
