    Hello there,

i am here to ask for some assistant.

i am occuring a strange behavior while RTSS is installed.
Blizzards Game Diablo III has a buildin FPS Limiter, which i am using at 60FPS.
Prior the Game Version 2.6.9 i got 60 FPS when FPS is limited to 60.
But now, since patch 2.6.9, even on the newest Patch 2.6.10 (Season 22 starting today) i am only getting 32 FPS.

And thats where the trouble begins. I am using RTSS for some other Games to lock the FPS when those don't have a buildin FPS limiter. Those all are working "perfect".

Even when RTSS isn't started/running, the FPS in Diablo III are cut in half.
As soon as i deinstall RTSS, the FPS is getting back to 60 while locked at 60, which is kinda curios.

    there's a Thread about it https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/d...s-set-150fps-in-game-always-struck-at-63-fps/

But according to the Customer Supporter its RTSS fault...(which i don't believe)

Tested with RTSS 7.2.3 and 7.3.0B6, i don't have any older Version archieved.

    My System:
    RyZen 5 2600
    Vega 64 STRIX OC LC
    Corsair 16GB 3200Mhz @ XMP1
    Gigabyte AORUS x470 @F60c
    Win 10 20H2 + AMD 20.11.2
    Dell S2719DGF @ 1440p

Quick question: are you using scanline sync in RTSS, and are you downsampling from a higher resolution?

    Hello,

scanline Sync is set to 0.
No, i am playing at 1440p (Native Monitor Resolution) Borderless Window, even Fullscreen for testing purposes.
i tested 1080p window /borderless window too, same "behave" when RTSS is installed (even while not running)

Hmm, I don¨t own Diablo 3, and I have not had this happen outside of using scanline sync when downsampling from 4k to 1080p. Do you have a "global" profile in RTSS set to some values, or is it disabled?

That’s absolute 200% nonsense and the only comment I’ll leave here.

Diablo's fps limiter has ALLWAYS been horrible.

and no one in that thread is claiming that their FPS issue is fixed after they uninstall RTSS

i am using only 1 "global" Profile with the setting shown on the Screen for everything + FPS on demand depending on the Game.
But like i said, RTSS isn't running. i am closing RTSS completly before starting Battle.net/Diablo III

i cannot image one scenario where RTSS is comminicating (dll hooking?) with a Game while not started, but then... if i uninstall RTSS, the bahavior is gone

I don't know, then. That sounds like utter nonsense. Set Global application detection to none and delete the D3 profile. See if that helps, but I have no clue how could your issue be in any way connected to RTSS if it's not even running.

It has always been similar to this:

    • If In-game Max Foreground FPS is set to 30 then Actual FPS is 21
    • If In-game Max Foreground FPS is set to 60 then Actual FPS is 32
    • If In-game Max Foreground FPS is set to 61 then Actual FPS is 53-59
      (jumping around)
    • If In-game Max Foreground FPS is set to 65 then Actual FPS is 63
    • If In-game Max Foreground FPS is set to 100 then Actual FPS is 63
    • If In-game Max Foreground FPS is set to 120 then Actual FPS is 73-84
      (jumping around)
    • If In-game Max Foreground FPS is set to 144 then Actual FPS is 136
    • If In-game Max Foreground FPS is set to 200 then Actual FPS is 136

Really? So it gets fixed, and installing RTSS back gives you back the issue?
