Counter-Strike Source looks wierd here with this driver, going to try the NGO one.
You do have to fix CSS settings with this driver or else it will cause wavy and strange **ultra-crisp (in a weird way)** graphics in it.
By the way, is this the shimmer you're talking about?
nice drivers good work and please keep em coming fellas
i dont think thats shimmering?:S
The shimering im talking about is usually only noticed in moving frames.
It looks like there is a lack of AF, but thats not the prob....i think it is the lod..
The further away textures sort of flicker.
Clamp LOD bias, see if it helps or if it is even enabled. I had that same effect (now I know what you're talking about) when I first DL'd. That's what I was talking about when I said that origionally it made CSS look too crisp.
Yeah it is clamped...
Ill try it again, tomoz...i just reformated
**Note to all Forceware users (modded or not)**
My computer defaults on new instillations to multiple display performance mode, if you have a single display, like me, I appeared to get ~+10fps in CSS when using single display performance mode This can be changed in the CP.
Nice drivers !!!
Ive been using these for at least a week now
Lowered my score on 3dMark slightly, but it was expected
Image quality is def better over the official release. 4xAA looks much more natural
also: on week 2 of this new setup, upgrading from a 2800 Barton core and a 5900xt. lovin it...
Noticed it too I'm loving the AA, it is the most OCD thing I have. No AA or AF? Death. I dislike HDR, so I can live without it, but I also like overdone light, so HDR in HL2 is pretty good, but in oblivion I hate the fantasy "glow" of HDR.
Wow, I need to go back to modded drivers more often. IQ is so effin nice it's unbelievable. I played COD2 last night at a local LAN, and the IQ was on a next level. VERY good job, VERY good drivers. Keep it up!!!
Where did my overclocking on my Clock Frequencies go?
I have a 7900 GT. After I installed your driver i no longer have Automatic Overclocking. I reinstalled my OS and then reinstalled your driver and dagnabbit it really was this driver that made it disappear from the Clock Frequencies tab.
So now, like I did before, I uninstalled your driver and rebooted, then reinstalled the nvidia driver and the Automatic OC is gone still.
How can this be and how do I get it back?
You are gonna have to install coolbits again, and overclock again.
Excellent driver indeed! Just one thing: the automatic oc button is greyed out. It's kinda bad since it worked fine for me - manual oc takes too much time in testing... Any clue?
Not really, once you find the oc capability of your card one time, then its the same with all drivers. True over time oc will cause strain on gpu's, so you may have to lower it, but finding the limits of your card once takes not much time at all.
Its not a good idea to use the auto overclock either, iv'e found it gives to high an oc which is unstable. The ati stress test is excellent, but the best method involves increasing speeds slowly and testing them with a game to find out if there stable or not.
I agree with most of the posts, very tasty drivers, best iv'e had in ages, iQ is superb.
You are right! I just did that this morning. Back to smoothness - Superb games - Happy camper me!
(o/c: 400/790 although I thought I could push it further with watercooling...)
Auto OC is gone
Coolbits is auto enabled with these drivers...
Auto OC is not just greyed out, but missing.
I don't know about the OCing too far when auto,
when I have monitored the auto OC in the past I noticed it didn't OC as high as I could manually, as well that there were never any stuttering or overheat with it on.
Maybe these drivers should mention that the Auto OC will be permanently disabled once these drivers are installed.
Why are you guys using automatic overclock anyways...? It's a load of garbage. Doing things yourself gets you further in life and in oc
Probibly because some of us are afraid of hurting our card. I used auto OC with my 7900gs XT, and it whent far, and never caused problems.
