Mike how exactly are you burning it in if you don't mind sharing? I'll soon be getting my new replacment kit from Mushkin and I want to know how to burn it in, especially now that phroz said it was so important! Thanks m8!

Well, atm im just running memtest overnight at 200HTT (400DDR) 2-2-2-8 3.08v. That should give it a nice 8-10hrs or so of work to get it started. Will prob either up the voltage slightly or the mhz, and then run memtest again for a while. Also the memory heavy torturetest on prime95 is a good one to run for a few hr's.

BTW, i had blue screen heaven when i first put in this memory, wouldnt even boot into windows even at 2.5-3-3-8. I had to remove the battery, with the CMOS jumper accross for 5 mins, then put it back in. Then it seemed to perform alot better. Its been running memtest for nearly 2 hrs now at the settings above, so it looks like its ok. The board probably didnt like the random switch from Micron to UTT IC's, they are very different chips.

Roger its very important just like a cpu, memory when burnt in right will be more stable and will over clock better and hold better timings at less voltage, I burn in cpu's about 48 hours vid cards I leave for a week before I give it to them and memory takes about 2 weeks but the first 24hours is the most important, mushkin should not of needed 3.52v @ 255 to 258 that should of only needed 3.3 to 3.4 :)

You can use rabit to edit the clocks in a bios file and then flash it, but you can use ati tool to o/c or att and save the profile and make it auto launch in the start up either by reg or start up folder, that will apply clock when ever you reboot.

that typical dfi m8 when changing memory types, I go thought that every time i go from tccd to utt and visa vera, be intersting to see how far she will go at cas 2 :)

Damn i had to go with onother 7800GTX 512 in SLI. Just single core GPU's and CPU's are getting a thing of the past. But i'm considering to go multi GPU when the DX10 arives :)

Mem test is wot ive been using. Been running it for 50hr's. Ran 24hrs at stock 2-2-2-8 3.02v (gotta love the .01 increments on this board!) and then 2-2-2-8 215 @ 3.1v
