Why is it that none of the driver series from 270 and up, won't keep the nvidia controlled desk top color settings? Anyone else have this issue? Is it my set up or is this just the drivers? Why can't Nvidia fix this? Thanks all.

Same problem for me in Win 7 64-bit. If I forget and start a game it's too bright.

Get yourself a spyder3 or easypix calibrator, and stop using that joke of a "color settings panel" in the driver. It is the _ONLY_ way to get proper, correct, colors on _ANY_ screen. Period.

    yea.

I never touch those colors, maybe just digital vibrance (raise for 3%), although it sticks on reboot..

You will never catch me spending more cash on such device than I spent on my monitor or video card itself.. The NVIDIA, Windows, display calibrations etc is all most people need.

NVIDIA knows about the problem and is working to fix it.

It doesn't affect XP, just Windows Vista/7 as far as I can tell.

Oh well... go to the Program Files/NVIDIA Corporation/Control Panel Client. You will see there Nvcplui.exe file. Right click on it and ->properties->compatibility tab->privilege level-> stick "Run this program as administrator". After this, adjusting Nvidia color settings will stay as you prefer after restart.

This bodered me also, my Acer monitor is not very user friendly and it was very anoying to change color settings after each restart.

    Cheers. :)

I was not aware of this bug since i never use the Nvidia control panel to calibrate the desktop color settings since i have always used my tv/monitor to configure color settings because it has many more options for adjustment than the Nvidia control panel and allows me to save up to 5 profiles.Try adjusting your monitor instead if the settings don't get saved.

I think it's a driver conflict start\timing issue ,for me I can't even turn on sli without turning off Lcore and Mcfee.exe processes in task manager.
-coretemps and g15 lcd had a issue[not starting] also - but set that to be delayed 15min. after start up that worked fine.
