Glad it's almost over, DRM hurts more who buys the games over who pirate them.
There are 2 types of pirates: those who download to see if the game is any good before buying it, and those who would never have bought the game in the first place. So, **** DRM.

Good, developers better invest money on the product, instead of the copy protection. A VERY good recent example is Witcher 3, having no protection at all, game has topped various selling lists.

It's not "almost over". Denuvo is still the best DRM protection system by far out there (remember, games like Abzu, Total War: Warhammer, Dishonored 2 etc, still haven't been cracked), and nothing critical to the function of the system has really leaked.

I see you had to take deep breath to think of some tittles that are not yet cracked. Is that a good DRM protection?

    BF1 was cracked yesterday.

Honestly I don't get what the big fuzz is about here. Doesn't even have much to do with the DRM software itself but their lacking web security. Sure, we can get a few emails and the contacts of their customers, but what to make of such information?

Looks like the rebranding stage has commenced or maybe Denuvo 2.0

"But for every business opportunity, there are dozens of emails from angry pirates, each looking to vent their anger.
“Why do you have to make such **** software to **** over pc gamers with DRM bull****. Please inform the companies you work with that if your DRM is implemented on games they are selling, they will lose thousands of customers. Thanks,”"

Because he hates DRM doesn't make him a pirate!

Why not? Though I personally don't feel the same way, I understand it. In many cases, the pirated experience is a much better one than the legal one. I know of people who bought a game but use the pirated version just because they hate the DRM so much. The only DRM people don't seem to mind is Steam, because it disguises itself as much more than that, so people tolerate it.

Anyway I completely agree with cryohellinc - if companies don't want their content stolen, they should be make it worth something paying for. However, lately I don't consider the vast majority of AAA titles worth my time at all, let alone money. For every 5 or so games I buy, I might get one AAA title.

The gaming and movie industries are getting too focused on revenue and not enough on what made these companies so filthy rich in the first place.

Even Resident Evil 7 had its first post-release week uncracked. Its patches aren't cracked either.

Wikipedia has a list of Denuvo games and their crack statuses. Not even 50% of them has been cracked yet. Denuvo is thankfully not uncrackable, but nobody can dispute that it's by far the best protection system out there.

    Yes Sr, I certainly am!

I remember buying Delta Force games just because the demo was so awesome, got me into first person shooters and bought a bunch of their games.

In those days you didn't need to spend millions of your budget on TV ads or DRM to make sure people bought your game. As a developer if you did your job good, people would buy your game.

I buy what I like, not because it's a trend.

You forget about 3rd type, those that refuse to pay for game broken by DRM and use cracked game to avoid it.

For me that was with Staforce titles if I remember name correctly after that thing fuc**d up with sata drivers.
