I've seen plenty of UT vids of kids boasting about their 12v deltas and now I'm going a step further with the 48v 2.07A 318CFM 7600RPM THA1248BE and compare it to a 24v 263CFM FFB1224XHE with my very own power supply in a couple of weeks.

You could start posting pics of huge great fans but this is about the humble 12CM fan.

Make sure you get some fan grille don't want you to mangle your fingers with those steel blades. My last experience with Deltas was a very thick 92mm I was using to cool my old Athlon64 3200+. It sounded like this:

You're not thinking outside the box. If Dave can lower the pressure inside the case quick enough, he might be able to lower load tempertures via the Joule-Thompson effect.

    It's all elementary science.

I think that would requite an air tight case and a powerful vacuum pump, but then it would quickly heat up again and get much hotter when its re-pressurised!

I think he just wants ridiculous airflow. With that much fan and a good heatsink you can certainly top many water setups even.

Its not for my rig its just for a bit of fun I have a 240CFM AFB Delta on a PWM controller on a H80, I keep it on 14% and its nice and quiet but when the CPU is at 100% turning the fan up only takes off a few °C because its already cooling the water about as much as it can, so a faster flow would be needed.

how much would the fan cost? if its around $100-$200 then i'd rather run a TEC waterblock.

    11,000 RPM?!

Like I said before even if they are plastic get some grill to protect yourself.

yeah my 2500 rpm 120x38mm panaflo fans sliced my thumb down the the nail on the side. bled like a mofo, not fun. i imagine a 11000rpm would cut down to the bone.
