Dell is offering you their latest 4K LCD monitor, the UP3214Q. Adopting the IGZO panel technology, this new 31.5-inch IPS LED-backlight monitor provides 3840 x 2160 4K native resolution, 1000:1 contra... Dell UP3214Q 31.5-Inch 4K LCD Monitor
And the hideous 1980s style bezel that they use on EVERYTHING. I had U2312HM and now have a U2713H and I still can't get over how dull and cheap looking the bezels are, it especially annoys me with the latter considering it's their highest end 27" monitor.
^^^ The bezels are just fine on my 2x Dell Ultrasharp U2410 IPS screens. The last thing I want is a bezel that's shiny plastic.
The smaller sibling (the UP2414Q) might be of more interest to many. According to Engadget, it has an MSRP of $1,399, which makes it more affordable. It lacks the IGZO display of its bigger sibling, though and will only be available in South and North America. Strangely, Dell chose not to equip these with HDMI 2.0 so you only get 30Hz with an HDMI cable (DisplyPort supports up to 60Hz). Still, the refresh rate might be a bit slow for gaming? Hopefully, by this time next year, a sub-$1000 monitor with GSync will be available from other manufacturers.
Nice but no way not at that price, no DVI port? are they gona start make display port the primary connection? and I could care less about HDMI on a monitor. HDTV maybe, but i still rather use DVI/RBG cable for that
My next display will definitely be 24-27" 4K display when they are sanely priced. It will take some time though by the looks of it.
