Well, Kojima's been trying to make movies for his entire career. He just had to sprinkle a game through it... now, he doesn't have to bother with that part. The one thing I've heard from multiple people, at different places... after people have played Death Stranding... "I thought I was a Kojima fan, seems I was actually a MGS fan and not a Kojima fan"
Man i love Mads, he just got an award for the game also I could listen to his voice for hours on end PS: i did not play this game though...
I liked how rather than accept he made a bad game, Kojima basically said Americans were too dumb to grasp his concepts in it. That's not a good excerpt for long-term support. I want to try it, it's only $29.99 on PSStore right now and even though I have a Ps4 Pro....knowing a PC version is coming...I'd rather give my PC some use....I just hate the idea of paying $60 when I could pay $30. Though, based on the games reception I'm assuming it will be on sale on PC quickly.
Just download https://store.steampowered.com/app/1214280/Walking_Simulator/ Mads Mikkelsen and Norman Reedus not included!
I was going to say something on how they're probably lining it up with the new jacket but apparently it both sold out and the thing costs like near 2000 US Dollars. https://www.techspot.com/news/84895-1900-death-stranding-jacket-already-sold-out.html
Some previews are coming out for the PC port of the game. Including some of the tech such as what it has for options and how it runs plus support for DLSS 2.0 From: https://www.pcgamer.com/death-stranding-on-pc-is-a-great-version-of-a-very-weird-game
Depending on the price, I am almost tempted to get this on PC just to see how the Decima engine runs on my current build. The only thing putting me off is that the fact that the PS4 Pro version, while looking visually stunning (in cutscenes anyway with HDR as the game world itself is bland, massive and empty in my opinion), the dull, plodding gameplay just was not very interesting at all. I tried to get into it, I really, really did want to love it, but it's one of those games where playing and enjoying it takes a real effort and that is just not enjoyable to me. Shame. There are some cool if weird ideas in there but they do not gell to form a compelling game in my humble view.
Really on the fence with this game, if it's about walking around for 10h with a ladder and backpack i'm gonna be bored really quick.
Seen a lot of vid footage and analysis of it and def not a game for me. The story script if very poorly written and they use obscure terms and references of things without explanation. I believe its a game thats going to require a lot of patience from players.
As I wrote here a few times, I play all AAA games... mostly because they simply land on my table. So yeah, I played this on PS4Pro when it released as well. I did not finish it though. I was too annoyed and bored by it. These are the prerequisites to love this game: You love Kojima. You love how Kojima tells even the most boring stories in the world. You love Kojima's extremely dry sense of humor. You love seeing Kojima's name 100x in every single credit in the game. You love watching characters talking in extreme slomo, saying literally nothing in 5 minute long cutscene. You love walking from A to B and B to A. 5 times in a row. You don't mind terrible vehicle physics. ... etc... I'm tired just thinking about it again.
